Pierre-Joseph Mandeville son of Jean Mandeville and Franoise

Mousseau was born on 5 September 1692 at Sorel, Qubec [ ]: He was
married four times in his lifetime as follows.
Pierre-Joseph Mandeville (age 29) was first married to Marie-
Louise Desrosiers Laniel et Soulanges (age 24) daughter of Julien Laniel
and Marie-Anne Fafard on 17 February 1721 at La-Visitation-de-lle-
Dupas, Qubec: Three children are known to have been born of this union
between 1722 and 1724 two at Sorel, Qubec, and one at a place
unknown...
Pierre-Joseph Mandeville (age 42) contrat de mariage en 8 January
1734 (greffe Antoine Puyproux de Lafosse) avec Dorothe Pelletier
Antaya (age 23) daughter of Jean-Baptiste-Pierre Pelletier and
Marguerite Rousseau: Dorothe Pelletier Antaya was born on 14 January
1711 at Ste-Famille, l dOrlans and she died (age 41) before 1752 [
]: Four children are known to have been born of this union between 1732
and 1743 at places unknown in Qubec; including, Joseph Mandeville who
was born about 1736 and died (age 62) on 29 June 1798 at Berthier-en-
Haut, Qubec: Joseph Mandeville (age 22) married Marguerite Charron
Ducharme (age 23) daughter of Jean Charron and Genevieve Boucher
(daughter of Charles Boucher and Marie Hnault)...: [Supra].
Marie Boucher (age 57) was married a second time in 1750 [ ] to
Pierre-Joseph Mandeville (age 58) in his third marriage: A childless
union.
Pierre-Joseph Mandeville (age 60) married Catherine Lescarbeau
(LEscarbot) (age 27) daughter of Guillaume Lescarbeau and Marie-
Catherine Collet on 15 February 1752 at St-Sulpice, LAssomption,
Qubec: Two children are known to have been born of this union in 1756
and 1759 at Lanoraie, Qubec...
Note: Concerning the wives and children of Pierre-Joseph
Mandeville: Marie-Louise Desrosiers Laniel et Soulanges mothered three
children whom would have been ages 1, 2, and 3 at the time of their
mothers death: Pierre-Joseph Mandeville must have had (a) mistress(es)
during this time or, perhaps, his widowed mother helped to raise these
children. It was nine years before Pierre-Joseph Mandeville was
remarried to Dorothe Pelletier Antaya - a woman half his age - and his
children would have been ages 10, 11, and 12 at the time.
The natural children of Pierre-Joseph Mandeville and Dorothe
Pelletier Antaya would have been ages 9, 14, 15, and 20 at the time of
their mothers death yet, their father had been remarried to his third
wife, Marie Boucher, two years before which suggests either bigamy by
abandonment or divorce... in either event, it is doubtful that Pierre-
Joseph Mandeville was living with his children at that time, although he
and this new wife may have taken these children in: (All of the children
from her previous marriage would have been over age 17 at the time of
her remarriage to Pierre-Joseph Mandeville and were no doubt living
lives of their own.)
Marie Boucher mothered no children of her union with Pierre-Joseph
Mandeville... and, as it is not known of certain whence she died, it may
be assumed that she died within the two years which had elapsed before
Pierre-Joseph Mandeville was married to his fourth wife - a woman half
his age - Catherine Lescarbeau (LEscarbot), whom mothered him two
children.
