157] ABSTRACT
Apparatus for separating seed from husks which consists of
‘one of more separating units. Each separating unit includes
4 series of impact plates fixed at angles with respect to each
‘ther and to the vertical axis, [a use, the soed and husks Fall
freely under gravity to impact and deflect off the impact
plates along a path determined by the angles of the plates
‘and the weight of the seed and husks. ‘The deflection path
differs such that seed and husks can be collected separately.
