Inmedicalstatistics,falsepositivesandfalsenegativesareconceptsanalogoustotypeIandtypeIIerrorsin
statisticalhypothesistesting,whereapositiveresultcorrespondstorejectingthenullhypothesis,andanegative
resultcorrespondstonotrejectingthenullhypothesis.Thetermsareoftenusedinterchangeably,butthereare
