PUENTE AIZHAI (CHINA): UN RETO A LAS LEYES DE LA GRAVEDAD

Perodo:La obra comenz en Octubre de 2007 y fue inaugurada el 31 de Marzo de 2012 .

Localizacin:Suspendido sobre el Can Hunan Dehang; en la ciudad de Jishou, perteneciente
a la provincia de Hunan.Forma parte de la autopista que conecta Jishou y Chadong.
Descripcin:Puente colgante de 1176 metros de vano y suspendido a 355 metros del suelo. El
tablero es de 24,5 metros de ancho, con cuatro carriles de doble sentido y una va peatonal
por debajo de la carretera principal.

Contexto:Se trata de una zona montaosa de caminos sinuosos u angostos que se caracteriza
por sus congestiones de trfico y como ser una va de alta peligrosidad por su elevado nmero
de accidentes de trfico.

El objetivo del puente es ayudar a aliviar el trfico, disminuir la siniestrabilidad y reducir en

gran medida el tiempo de paso

Tecnologa constructivaSe trata de un puente colgante.Consiste en un arco invertido

compuesto por numerosos cables anclados en cada extremo del puente y est suspendido
mediante tirantes verticales conectados a los cables principales, sern estos los encargados de
transmitir gran parte de la carga de la estructura.

Impacto de la obra:
Social y cultural:
Presupuesto total de 208 millones de dlares.
Gracias a esta obra se ha reducido el tiempo de paso del can de 30 minutos a 1 minuto.

Ambiental y paisajstica:
Se instalaron ms de 1000 luminarias de LED de bajo consumo energtico y larga vida lo cual
conlleva al cuidado del Medio Ambiente.

Constructivo:
Se trata del sexto puente ms alto del mundo y el doceavo puente ms largo.
Los dos tneles a ambos lados del puente de Aizhai permitieron a los ingenieros usar la cima
de la montaa para localizar una de las torres.

CARACTERSTICAS
Por otro lado, se considera una gran obra de ingeniera que puede soportar oscilaciones
provocadas por vientos de hasta 80 km/h.

Posee un total de 1.888 farolas para iluminarlo por la noche.
En este lugar se realizo el 13 septiembre del 2013 el Festival Internacional de Salto Base, una
modalidad de paracaidismo , que congreg a ms de 40 saltadores de 13 nacionalidades
diferentes pases.
