motifs-crochet-stitch
To make this sweater vest, it is necessary to crochet 18 motifs and join them together as you
work the last round, leaving spaces for armholes and neck.
Step 1
First motif
Make a foundation chain of 7 chains (count all the loops including the loop on your hook) and
join it into a ring with the slip stitch. Insert a hook into the very first loop, grab the yarn, and
pull it though the loop on your hook.
Step 2
1st round sc2 into each chain to end of the round plus sl.st.1 into the 1st chain of the round.
2nd round ch6, [trc1, ch2] to end + sl.st.1 into the 4th chain (You should have 11 trcs)
3rd round ch2, CL*, ch3, sk2, [CL1, ch3, sk2] to end + sl.st.1 into 3rd chain
4th round sl.st.1, [sc1, ch3, sk3, (dc2, ch3, dc2) into sm.ch, ch3, sk3, sc1, ch5, sk3] to end +
sl.st.1 into the very first sc chain of the round
5th round sl.st.3, ch3, dc3, ch3, sk1, dc4, ch3, sk5, sc1, ch3, sk5, [dc4, ch3, sk1, dc4, ch3,
sk5, sc1, ch3, sk5] to end + sl.st.1 into 3rd ch.
6th round ch3, dc4, Vst.1, dc5, ch3, sk1, sc1, ch3, sk3, sc1, ch3, sk1, [dc5, Vst.1, dc5, ch3,
sk1, sc1, ch3, sk3, sc1, ch3, sk1] to end + sl.st.1 into 3rd ch.
Step 3
Repeat 1 5 rounds (step2). Join motifs from one or more sides while working the 6th round.
Step 4
Ribbing
1st row insert a hook into the 2nd chain from your hook and work sc one into each chain all
the way across. At the end of the row, work one returning chain.
2nd row insert a hook into the 2nd chain from the hook and work blsc to end of the row +
RC1
Crochet all other rows as the second one. After you crochet 100 rows, join the very last row
with the first one. Then join the ribbing into a garment.

ch chain
CL* [yo, insert the hook into the same base chain, grab the yarn, and draw it through]. You
should have 3 loops on your hook. Grab the yarn again and pull it through the first two loops
on your hook. Then repeat everything in between brackets/[]. You should have 4 loops on the
hook. Last time draw the yarn through the first two loops on your hook, and then through all 3
loops on the hook, resulting in one loop on the crochet hook.
CL1 [yo, insert the hook into the same base chain, grab the yarn, and draw it through. Then
grab the yarn again and pull it through the first two loops on your hook] x 3. After that, draw
the yarn through 4 remaining loops on the hook.
