1 Introduction

Chapter 1: Introduction-This Chapter is about Products features and basic Product function. After
reading this chapter, you will know what feature the product has and basic hardware
operation. Also you will know how to perform soft-rest and hard-rest in this chapter.
Chapter 2: Device Disassembling and Assembling Procedure- After reading this chapter, you will
learn how to disassemble and assemble the product. Also, you will know what tools to
use and the torque. Please follow the instruction to disassemble the unit to prevent
from damaging the unit.
Chapter 3: ROM Re-flash Procedure- After reading this chapter, you will learn how to perform
the ROM image re-flesh by using RUU and SD-Card. Also you can find the steps of
enter the boot loader mode.
Chapter 4: DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM- After reading this chapter, you will learn
How to use the diagnostic program to perform unit function test

1. Loosen 6 screws from the housing at

the location indicated.

2. Insert the flat plastic stick in between

the bezel and the housing and then
slide along the housing to separate
the housing and the bezel.

3. Disassemble the housing by following

the direction of the arrows.

1. Take out the speaker from the

housing by using flat plastic stick.

2. Please follow the sequence and the

direction of the arrows.

1. Loosen 4 screws from the housing

at the location indicated.

2. Take out the microphone rubber.

1. Remove the 3 tapes at the location

2. Disconnect the LCM and the touch

window connector at the location

Disconnect the main camera connector

from the main board and take out the
camera as shown.

1. Remove the kapton tape at the

location indicated.

2. Disassemble the I/O board by

following the sequence and the
direction of the arrows.

3. Remove the kapton tape at the

location indicated, take out the track
ball and disconnect the APP FPC
connector at the location indicated.

1. Remove the mylar and the keypad at

the location indicated.
2. Remove the touch window FPC by
using the flat plastic stick as
carefully as you can (don’t bend the
FPC or you may crack the solder)

Take out the LCM by following the

sequence and the direction of the
arrows.

Remove the 76H03900-00M PCB support

from the bezel as shown.

Take out the receiver by lifting it up.

1. Put the bezel into an oven for 25

minutes at 60 degree Celsius.

2. Paste protective film to protect the

inner side of the touch panel.

3. Put a piece of thin sponge on the top

of the protective film as shown.

4. Press down the touch window at the

location indicated.

5. Disassemble the touch window by

following the direction of the arrow

Note: Do not send back the touch

window if the inner side of the touch
window is scratched or the FPC is
damaged.

76H04027-00M conductive double
sided tape onto the I/O board at the

Tear the kapton tape from USB

Paste 72H03714-00M &

72H03817-00M EMI gasket at the
location indicated by following the
shape of the rigid flex board.

Note: Leave the upper side of the

72H03714-00M release tape.

1. Fold the EMI gasket to the back

side.

2. Remove EMI gasket from

housing at the location indicated.

1. Stick 72H03818-00M EMI gasket

onto USB connector as shown.

2. Make sure the gasket is attached

properly on both side of the USB
connector.

1. Connect APP FPC pre assembly

connector to the I/O board and
remove the release tape at the
location indicated if any.

2. Paste 76H03583-00M kapton tape

and put 36H00764-00M track ball

4. Paste a kapton tape at the

correct I/O board (region ID High /
Low) on your device.

Note: Make sure all of the tape,

gasket and LDI label are attached
properly on your main board at the
location indicated.

1. Connect the I/O board connector

to the main board.

2. Lift up the conductive fabric and

then stick the APP FPC to the
main board.

Note: remove the release tape before

assembly, if any.

3. Stick the conductive fabric to fix

the APP FPC.
