Purpose
To investigate how health may be impacted upon by alcohol and drug use and its link to violent behaviour.
Description of Assessment
This assessment tasks consists of three parts, a group presentation and investigation, the creation of a health
promoting strategy and an individual discussion. Evidence from all will be submitted for grading.
Part 1- Group Investigation and Presentation
1. Discuss and analyse the issue of alcohol and drug related violence (I1)
2. Select an aspect of violence related to drug and alcohol use
3. Investigate the impact the issue has on personal and community health and well-being (I1)
4. Discuss contemporary health promoting strategies/programs and or agencies that are aiming to reduce your
chosen issue and what they are doing (I3)
5. Present and discuss your new strategy (see part 2) (A3)ka
6. Present all findings in a creative and engaging way (I2/A3)
7. Obtain feedback from your presentation and created health promoting strategy
Within your individual discussion also attach evidence of your groups planning and presentation including planning
sheets, presentation slides, cue cards, strategy resources, feedback and video evidence of your presentation
Assessment Conditions
Individual discussion is to be a maximum of 3000 words
Individuals within the group are required to contribute to a minimum of 5 minutes throughout the presentation
Hard copy to be submitted and an electronic version via SEQTA
