Chapter I Introduction

Background and Nature of the Project

Statement of the Problem
Project Goal and Objectives
Significance of the Project
Scope and Limitations
Definition of Terms

This chapter must be clear and logical in describing succinctly the trends in the field that render
the chosen topic problematic. This chapter must end with the delineation of the research
barriers or limitations of the study, (if possible, substantial, ethical, methodological, and practical)
that the candidate may come across in the conduct of the study. The last two paragraphs must be
devoted to research impediments (barriers) and limitations of the study

Chapter II Review of Related Literature contains a minimum of fifteen (15) literatures (books,
journals, online sites, etc.) which are grouped and reviewed by topic and sub-topic; follows
APA citation style; journals and news articles must not be more than five (5) years old; books must
not be more than ten (10) years old and only 25% should be internet sourced.

This chapter includes all types of materials reviewed, conceptual literature which came from
books. Related studies both local and foreign consisting mainly of peer reviewed journals. Your
aim is to show how the present study relates to the existing knowledge and previousstudies in
terms of both similarities and differences. The formal sub-sections for this chapter are;

2.1 Review of the Literature

Must be comprehensive in the light of the chosen variables with view to surfacing
the research blankspots (unexplored area) andb lindspots (conflicting areas in
the literature).
2.2 Research Question/s (or Hypotheses)
A research hypothesis is the statement you created when you speculate upon the
outcome of a research or experiment. Every true experimental design must have
this statement at the core of its structure, as the ultimate aim of any experiment.

Chapter III Research Methodology contains Research Design and Research Tools/ Instruments
This chapter must include details of your experimental methodology. Points to
highlight includes; Description of the following; (1) research design, (2) study
site, (3) selection of samples, (4) data/outcome measures , data collection
procedure, (5) ethical consideration and (6) data/mode of analysis; and Must
be strongly supported by the appendices that contain the instruments or corpus
of data to be used. The example shown in the Table of Contents is for a Case
study AND Descriptive-Correlational designs. If there isonly one method to be
used, a sample entry with sub-sections can be;

3.1 Case Study Research Design (for example)

3.1.1 Meaning
3.1.2 Selection/Subjects and Study Site
3.1.3 Data Measure
3.1.4 Data Gathering Procedure
3.1.5 Ethical Consideration
3.1.6 Mode of Analysis

Chapter IV Site Selection contains (for proposals with site selection options)
Criteria for Site Selection
Description and Vicinity Map of Selected Sites
Site Selection Evaluation
Selected Site Description and Justification; (for proposals with identified sites)
Vicinity Map, Lot Plan
Site Criteria
Site Description and Justification
SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)

ARTELIER: A Collaborative School and Innovation Hub for Arts, Design and Media

Good morning sir! Update lang po. I modified my title to ARTELIER: A Collaborative School and Innovation
Hub for Arts, Design and Media from Institute of Arts and Design since it explains my proposal better. Also,
Im planning to change my site location to somewhere in Makati instead of Diliman, QC because when I went to
QC City Hall last Friday, the in-house architect was telling me that If I was planning to build institutional
structures there, better if its about Science and Technology because more in context with the surrounding daw
and the sites that were available, may slum area din. Pero I saw an article last Friday that Makati is rapidly
becoming an art hub with all the development and stuff Ayala is making now that is culturally relevant. I think
its a more viable site but I am planning to go to Makati City Hall tomorrow after consultation and also ask Ayala
about it. Also going to present revised thesis on Tuesday.

Sir, sent you an email concerning letters for DTI- Design Center of the Philippines, Makati City Hall, and CHED.
