A Greeting from Grandpa at the Finish Line

CHS Senior to Run in Boston Marathon on her Birthday
by Sue Krzeminski
This will be the biggest run
of Catie Callinans life. On
April 16, the Campbell High

Boston Marathon. To add to the
excitement, she turns 18 that day,
and that makes her the youngest
participant in the marathon this
year.

On Sunday, Oct. 15, Litchfield Pack 11 served breakfast and lunch
to troops at the Londonderry Reserve Center. Representatives from
the Army, Navy and Marines, provided the Cub Scouts an experience
they will never forget. They gave high fives, sat down and talked with
the boys, showed them some weapons and trucks, and even showed
them how to prepare an MRE (and most tried it). The Cubs also wrote
letters and drew pictures for the sister platoons that are currently
deployed.
It was not only a highlight for the Scouts to experience as one
