Complete the following steps:

1. Register for a free gmail account

2. Open a Word document
a. Save it with the file name CPSC1105 First Assignment
3. Type your name into the document
4. Log into your new gmail account
5. Take a screenshot of your Inbox and paste it into the document
a. Hint: in Word, use the Insert ribbon. Find the Screenshot icon
6. One of the benefit of a gmail account is that is comes with a free Google drive. Click on
the icon the arrow points to

7. Create a new folder in your Google drive

8. Call it Assignment1
9. Upload a file to the new folder
10. Investigate Sharing. Can you share your files/folders with others?
11. Take screenshots of your uploaded files and your sharing and paste into the document
12. Answer the following questions. Type your responses into the CPSC1105 First Assignment
document.
A. How large is the storage area (in GB) that you get free with Google Drive ?
B. What other free tools or services does Google offer?
C. Will Google drive work on your mobile appliance?
D. What is the difference between the Google drive you used in this assignment and the
Google drive software offered here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/drive
E. What other free software offers the same type of cloud storage service? Find at least
two vendors. Paste the links to their sites into your document.
