NFL PREVIEWS SUPER BOWL LI HIGHLIGHTS

New Technologies Enhance Fan Experience

NEW YORK: The NFL previewed new technology that will be featured throughout

Super Bowl LI today. The new technology is presented by Intel Corporation and it includes Be

the Player and drone technology. The new technology was also present during Super Bowl Live

events which were available the week before the game day.

A week prior to Super Bowl LI day, the NFL hosted events where new technology was

also featured to enhance the fan experience. One of those events was, Journey to Mars, in

partnership with NASA which uses virtual reality technology to transport fans to Mars surface.

The technology and ride primary goal was to enhance the experience but also to inspire the next

generation of explorers.

"Best scenario would be that this is going to inspire that young child, that one day is

really going to be the first person to walk on Mars," said Colonel Mike Hopkins.

The next piece of technology that was previewed was, Be the Player, which uses 360

replay technology. Be the Player allows fans to better understand what a player is experiencing

through the 360-replay technology and 3D view. This updated technology will deliver fans a

better product and experience to those at home. The NFL used 38 cameras with the ability to

capture 30 gigabytes per second, five miles of fiber optic cable and more 4K cameras compared

to past Super Bowl. It is also the first time an on field perspective has been used.

Im excited for the potential of 360 replay technology to transform the viewing

experience for sports fans, says Tom Brady quarterback of the New England Patriots.

The drone innovation experience included 300 drones specifically made for light shows

that weigh less than 230 grams. The drones could reach 700 feet and all 300 drones were

controlled by one drone pilot and one computer to perform the choreograph. Due to the drone

ban by the Federal Aviation Administration, a special waiver had to be given so the drones could

above NRG Stadium. This drone technology was a first as well the largest scale use at a live

event.

We were able to combine artistry with Intel drone innovation to pull off a truly unique

experience, said Intel Senior Vice President and General Manager Josh Walden.

Dear Katie Atkinson:

The article, Lady Gaga Takes You Behind the Scenes of Super Bowl Halftime Show: Ive
Been Planning This Show Since I was 4, perfectly captures the excitement, dedication, and
passion invested into the halftime show by an artist. Both the halftime and Super Bowl game
complement each other to give the fans a memorable performance at the end of the day.

It was until 1991 that fans had the opportunity to experience its first pop music act led by New
Kids on The Block. From then on, artists such as Michael Jackson, ZZ Top, Prince, and Beyonc
have given fans memorable performances. With singles such as, Poker Face, that has over 9.5
million sales and her recent album, Joanne, Lady Gaga embodies a growth over time that is
similar to that of the halftime show. Lady Gaga is known for her creativity and going beyond to
give the audience and fans a memorable experience. With the help of Pepsi and the NFL, Lady
Gaga is set to deliver and exceed in her dream performance while the use of new technology
being featured to amplify the experience of the fans.

To help you with the story, I can coordinate a meeting with Pepsi North America Head of Music
Emma Quigley and Pepsi Sports Marketing Director Justin Toman. B-roll footage of the Pepsi
Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show press conference and live performance will be
provided.

I will contact you next week to answer any questions and provide more information. In the
meantime, if you need anything, you may reach me at 714-591-6423 or
