ALGEBRA (midterm)

Polynomials

-Algebraic Expression: is an expression of variables and real number constant used in a number of
addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, exponents etc.

-Terms: parts of the algebraic expression with plus and minus sign.

-Similar Term: having identical parts

-Variable: is a symbol that can be replaced by one or more values.

-Constant (Numerical Coefficient): the number part of the term usually written before the variable.

Degree of Term/Polynomial: Example

Linear Polynomial 5x+2

Quadratic Polynomial 3x^2+2x-1

Cubic Polynomial x^3+5x^2+x-1
