Growth and Morphometric G4 Results of Local Chicken Crosses with Broiler

(PSKB) Aged 12 to 24 Weeks

Development of local poultry as a producer of meat and eggs needs to be done and
supported by appropriate technology to achieve the expected productivity targets. Efforts to
increase the productivity of local chickens are crossed with other chicken clumps. The crossed
chicken is the descendant of the pelung-sentul-kampung-meat races (PSKB) with each other.
This study was conducted to assess the growth performance and body size of G4 chickens
cross-breeding pelung-sentul-kampung-meat races (PSKB) with each other at the age of 12 to
24 weeks. Measurement of body weight is done by weighing the body weight of the chicken,
measurement of body size is done by measuring the circumference and length of each body
size by using the sliding wheel (mm) and the measuring tape with the unit (cm). The data in
this study were analyzed descriptively by presenting the mean (x), standard deviation (sd) and
coefficient of diversity (kk). The correlation test was performed to find out the correlation
relationship between the size and body weight to the observed body frame variables.
