Story of Noah

Many years before the time of Abraham, God made a covenant with Noah, promising
him that he would never destroy the world by flood again. Noah lived at a time when the
whole earth was filled with violence and corruption, yet Noah did not allow the evil
standards to rob him of fellowship with God. But Noah and his three sons were
righteous. They obeyed Gods commandments. Noah had the priesthood. He stood out
as the only one who walked with God, and a just man, perfect in his generations. The
Lord chose Noah from among all his peers and chose him as the man to do a great work.
God was very sad because the people were wicked. When God saw the wickedness that
reigned in the world he told Noah of His intention to destroy the ancient world by a
flood. God instructed Noah to build an ark, a very large boat in which he and his family
would survive the flood. Noah believed God and did all that God commanded him to do.

With confidence in God, Noah built the ark. God told Noah to tell the people to repent,
because he would send a flood to the earth. During this time, Noah continued to preach
God's judgment and mercy, warning the ungodly of their approaching doom. Noah
preached for 120 years, without any converts. Noah told the people to repent, believe
in Jesus Christ and to be baptized, then the Holy Ghost would help them. The wicked
people did not listen to Noah. They did not repent and tried to kill Noah. They continued
in their evil ways and ignored his pleadings and warnings.

Noah built the ark, it had many rooms, a window and a door on the side. When the ark
was ready, Noah and his sons put food in the ark and two animals of every kind came to
Noah. God told Noah to put them in the ark. Noah and his family went into the ark and
the Lord shut him in away from the rest of mankind. Rain began to fall for 40 days and
40 nights. The water covered the earth and the wicked people died in the flood.

Noah was grateful to the Lord who had delivered him from the flood. After the flood, he
built an altar to God and made a sacrifice, which was accepted graciously. The Lord
promised Noah and his descendants that He would never destroy the world again with a
universal flood. The Lord made an everlasting covenant with Noah and his descendants,
establishing the rainbow as the sign of His promise
Story of Moses

Moses grew to be a man. His people, the Israelites, were slaves in Egypt. He saw his people
working too hard so he was sad for them. One day Moses saw an Egyptian beating an Israelite,
he got angry and he killed the Egyptian. The king of Egypt heard that Moses had killed the
Egyptian so he said that he would have Moses killed. Moses was afraid so he left Egypt and went
to another land and stayed there for many years.

One day Moses went up on a mountain, he saw a bush that was on fire. The bush did not burn up,
it was a miracle. It showed Moses the power of God. Moses went close to it. Jesus Christ spoke
to Moses from the bush. Jesus knew that the Israelites were not happy. He did not want them to
be slaves so he told Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the promised land. But Moses
thought he could not lead the Israelites so Jesus said that Aaron could help Moses. Aaron was
Moses brother and Moses was a prophet of God. Moses and Aaron went to the king of Egypt,
they asked him to let the Israelites leave Egypt, but the king said that he would not let them go.
Jesus said he would help Moses and Aaron by showing the king of Egypt his power then the king
would let the Israelites go. Moses told the king that Jesus would change the water in the rivers to
blood and Jesus did change the water in Egypt to blood. The people could not drink the water
and all the fish died.

Again Moses asked the king to let the Israelites go, but the king would not let them go. Jesus sent
many frogs to Egypt and the frogs were everywhere, they were in the homes and the beds of the
people. The king said he would let the Israelites go if the frogs went away so Jesus made the
frogs die. But the king had lied to Moses, he would not let the Israelites go. Then Jesus made lice
come everywhere, but the king still would not let the Israelites go. Jesus made flies come
everywhere to the Egyptians. Then the king told Moses that he would let the Israelites go if the
flies went away, the flies went away, but the king had lied again, he would not let them go.

Moses said that Jesus would make the Egyptians animals die, soon their animals died. But the
king still would not let the Israelites go so Jesus put bad sores on the Egyptians. Then Jesus sent
a bad hailstorm and the storm killed everyone who was outside. Again the king said that he
would let the Israelites go so Moses prayed, and the storm stopped. But the king would not let
them go. Jesus sent grasshoppers to eat all the food. The grasshoppers ate all the fruit and green
plants, still the king would not let the Israelites go so Jesus sent darkness for three days. The
Egyptians could not see anything, but the Israelites had light in their houses. The king of Egypt
still would not let the Israelites go. Jesus told Moses a sickness would come and the oldest child
in every Egyptian family would die, even the kings oldest son would die. God gave Pharaoh
many opportunities to set his people free, but he refused to listen. When he saw what had
happened he sent to call Moses and Aron and asked them to take their people and live, but then
he changed his mind and followed them to kill them, and when the Israelites got to the Red Sea
Moses took out his staff and separated the water so that the people could pass. After all the
Israelites had passed he closed the sea and the all the Egyptians who were crossing after them
died. That was the day that the Lord saved the Israelites from the Egyptians. They trusted God
and knew that Moses would be a great leader for them as they traveled to the land flowing with
milk and honey.
