Working of D-Fences perimeter intrusion detection

systems (PIDS):

D-Fences perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) are based on

the latest generation of Strain Gauge Sensors made from Stainless

Steel, and an electronic processing unit that converts the analog signals

that come from the sensors into digital signals. The processing unit

analyzes these signals and acts as a local analysis and processing

system on the field, communicates with the central computer at the

control center and manages the multi-purpose dry contacts. Any

intrusion attempt that generates a higher weight than the pre-established

one on the sensors (usually 20 Kgs.), or any attempt to dismantle or

neutralize any of the system components, will immediately generate an

alarm in the control center and will activate all the external systems

connected like CCTV cameras, VMD, lights, sirens, GSM mobile

systems. etc.

D-Fences PIDS operate equally good in all weather conditions, from

desert temperatures of +72C down to -25C. The system processing

unit has an auto-adjusting capability that constantly calculates the

tension in the sensors and because of this, D-Fences systems have a

False Alarm Rate of ZERO. The wide dynamic range of the sensors

allows for longer intervals between maintenance operations and the

robust sensors have no electric contacts, rubber parts or parts that move

inside, making their maintenance very rare.

overview The D-Taut Wire Perimeter Intrusion Detection

System (PIDS) is D-Fence's highest security solution for

protecting sites against intruders. The system provides both a

physical barrier against intruders, and a sophisticated electronic

remote control system indicating the precise location of any

intrusion attempt. Specially designed rugged sensors and

unique digital post processing units, insure constant sensitivity

that can withstand all environmental conditions with virtually

zero false alarms.

How it works A screen of metal wires is deployed around the

installation's perimeter, connected to D-Fence's exclusive

sensor posts equipped with Strain Gauge Sensors. The

resistance of the strain gauge changes relative to the distortion

of the sensor caused by load changes and the signal

processing unit analyzes the signal including its velocity and

using imbedded algorithms decides if the signal is an alarm.

The D-Taut Wire System uses advanced technology which

allows it to face all weather conditions, for the sake of intrusion

detection only

Installation and Maintenance Installation is quick and easy,

just as installing a regular fence, and requires no special

training or tools. The system needs no scheduled maintenance

operations. Authorized personnel can access the maintenance

mode on the central control computer and decide if the sensors

require maintenance, thus, only the sensor's with queries need

to be serviced, saving valuable maintenance time and

resources. The wide dynamic range of the system's sensors

allows for longer intervals between maintenance operations.
