A Message from Vegenaut

Vegepedia is my gift to the community and also an artistic experiment. My
hope is that this book and its art will act as a creative seed that that will germinate
future works of art by many other people. It is the sixth installment in the Vegebook
series of coloring books but the first to be released free with an open-source model.
If you got this book from Amazon, you may be thinking It was cheap, but it
wasnt free!. Youre right, of course, but the price you paid on Amazon for Vegepe-
dia is the absolute minimum price allowed by the publisher, and only reflects the
costs necessary to cover printing (in other words, this book generates no profit for
me).

The downloadable source code package includes a high-quality, ready-to-print

PDF copy of the entirety of Vegepedia, individual PDF copies of every page, the vec-
tor (.svg) files for every illustration in the book, 300 dpi raster renders of every illus-
tration (.png), and a true type (.ttf) version of Vegefont, the esoteric script used by
denizens of Vegeworld (Vegescript translation on following page).

Welcome to Vegeworld! I cant wait to see what you create.
