The Prospect of Bakery of Keya Group

Introduction:
Bakery Business is one of the most under rating booming business in Bangladesh.
Bakery made products are fast becoming the snack of choice for Bangladeshi
consumers, enabling the market to grow significantly a year. The Bakery made products
market is growing mainly because of consumers' hunt for hygienically prepared foods.
It is expected to grow at the same pace in the next 10-15 years. So it is very clear that
Bakery sector is rising up and the Bangladeshi consumer are moving this sector as a
choice of their snack. So Bakery sector in Bangladesh is a potential sector and it can
contribute a great return in future in our growing economy. So In my internship period
I want to work in this topic from the prospect of Keya Cosmetic Ltd.

The Keya Cosmetics Ltd. is one of the largest and high quality cosmetic companies in
Bangladesh located at Jarun, Konabari, Gazipur. It come into begin in 1996 at a cost
of Tk. 120 million and launched production in early 1997 as a sister concern of
the Khaleque Group of Industries. Converted into public Ltd. Company in the year
1999. Quality comes first- keeping this principle in mind; the company aim at
producing guarantied international quality cosmetics and toiletries for quality
conscious people of home and abroad. Now Keya want to expand their field in various
sector and bakery is one of them. As an intern in Keya cosmetic Ltd. I will work in
this project.
Statement of the Problems:
1. What types of Bakery products customers want from a bakery in Dhaka city?
2. What kind of expectation have as a Bangladeshi customer from a bakery?
3. What recommendations are there for the betterment of Bakery business in Bangladesh?
4. What are the main factors behind establishment of a bakery brand?

Scope of the Study:


The study will based on Bangladeshi market and specifically in Dhaka based and the target audience
will be upper middle class because our target market is upper middle class and the product will
premium based product.

Limitation of the Study:


Every study will have its problems and limitations at some point during the project. This
study is no different. The use of the sample in the research was a major limitation because there
was no way to make sure that the sample taken represented the total population of the Internet
users. A non-probability sample lacks the accuracy and precision that a probability sample
might offer. Though these samples provided a better insight about the customers perception
and the current market situation about Bakery business in Bangladesh. On the other hand some
respondents were bias towards some questions. Another major limitation encountered doing
the research assignment is the issue regarding the time.

Objectives of the Study:


Main objectives of the study are as follows:

1. To know the Consumer Perception about Bakery product.


2. To know the various products that consumer want in a Bakery.
3. To find out what types of product such as flavor, color, size is popular.
Methodology of the Study:
For preparing my intern report I have to collect various kind of information or data. So I will
