The storyline flows from a teacher, Grace Wesley, responding to her student Brookes question about Jesus and
His teachings as they relate to the nonviolent teachings of Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi. Graces response
acknowledges that the writer of the Gospel of Matthew records Jesus as saying, You have heard it said, Love
your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.
In response to another students comment, she adds some additional commentary about those who would die for
It is not wrong to answer Brookes question how Grace finds her optimism. As I watch the movie for the first
time, grace was teaching and not preaching as he answered the question of Brooke and there is nothing wrong
about it because they are in a class, a history class and Jesus is also part of our history whether youll like it or
not. In the movie, we never learn the districts policy on teaching about religious ideas. However, it is obviously
prejudiced. The question about Jesus comes up in a history class discussion where Gandhi and Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. are the examples. As you probably know, both of these men were motivated by their religious
viewsGandhi by the Hindu doctrine of ahimsa (non-violence) and Reverend King by the teachings of the
Bible and example of Jesus. This point comes out clearly during the trial in a discussion of Dr. Kings
motivations.
But then, Grace and Tom fought hard in the trials, and Tom came up of an idea which he will test Graces faith
on Jesus in order to win the trial and it was their last resort. And by the grace of God and His mercy on Grace,
For me, this kind of movie is extraordinary, as a Christian, this movie really inspires me, not only me but all of
the believers of Christ our Saviour. I learned a lot from this movie, right from the GnD1 to GnD2. We should
always keep our faith on God, even though our life is very tough because wait till you see the glory of God! He
will never fail us! And the greatest quote or line that Grace really touched my heart in GnD2 is when she said,
I would rather stand with God than to be judged by the world than to stand with the world and be judged by
God.
God is indeed alive! In the movie, scientist who is a atheist before, but when he started to proved that God is not
dead, and using the word of God which is the bible to get information, he didnt knew that that time, God has a
plan for him and drawing the person right near to God, and then He proves that God is not dead. And for my
own observation to this world, and to the word of God, the scriptures says everything, and what the scripture is
saying, is really happening in our world. God will always give us hope, love and faith, He will continue to love
us even though we are weaklings and sometimes our faith is being dragged down, but still, God will do
everything for us, by sacrificing His only son to save us from our sins! Who created the world? Who created us?
Who created the universe? God created it, He is our creator and our saviour!
