OVAL DENT BALLS

All dent balls are carefully made from tooling steel and polished. Their shape ensures
that they do not tip over when introduced into the larger part of the tubing.
-011A- oval dent balls, set of 49 pieces, 8-20mm dia. in 0.25mm steps, with bore.
-011AG- oval dent balls, same as 011A, except all balls of a diameter of 12mm and more
with M5 and M6 thread.
With threaded balls you are more flexible in use-they can be
screwed on rods, e.g. no. 024 or no. 015.

FLEXIBLE DENT RODS WITH CABLE

This flexible dent rod with exchangeable, flexible inserts is ideal for eliminating small dents in trumpet, cornet and flugelhorn
bell bows. If the dent is in the first curve, you can eliminate it without having to take the instrument apart. No. 016P is
specifically designed for trombone. The dent rod is used with dent balls that are bored or bored and threaded (no. 026/0,
011A or 011AG). The appropriate dent balls are mounted on the steel cable, which is inserted into the tool and fixed in place.
The dent balls are fed under the dent and the dent is hammered out with a small metal hammer.
To locate balls in place, use magnet no. 017.

Flexible dent rods for eliminating dents in French horn, to be used with dent balls that are bored. The dent balls are mounted
on the steel cable, which is inserted into the tool and fixed in place. Tool can be fixed in vice.

AUSPOCHEISEN
A real classic for the instrumentmaker is back on the market again.
These tools are used for rounding bent instrument parts,
e.g. bell bows. Tubing must still be filled with lead, you put this tubing
in the tool and hammer on it (auspochen) to get rid of
the creases and to round it. Repair technicians use Auspocheisen with
bent rods or balls in the tubing to remove dents.

4.0. MAGNETIC DENT REMOVAL
MAGNETIC DENT REMOVING AND BURNISHING
Dent removing and burnishing with magnet and ball is an ideal supplement to traditional methods when you have to remove
dents from conical and bent instrument parts. Its best application is in smoothing out dents in tubing from dia 20mm, as in
French horn, tenor, baritone, euphonium, tuba, saxophone.
Caution: You should not use these tools for jobs in the bell area and on larger straight surfaces - risk of bulges and streaks!
And you should not use it with barrel-shaped dent balls, only with perfectly round balls without hole.
MAGNETIC DENT BURNISHER

A really handy and practical dent burnishing tool with a strongset of magnets.
Two magnetic tools in one: the set of magnets has different magnetic
strength quick change from superstrong to less strong side.
Comes complete with exchangeable hardened and polished discs in different
shapes (flat and slightly rounded). The rounded disc makes it possible to use
the tool on the inside radius of bent tubing.
The discs also protect the magnet and prevent scratches.

Very strong magnet for eliminating dents. This magnetic tool is stronger

thicker material.

EXPANDABLE DENT BALLS FOR TROMBONE SLIDES

VALVE SLIDES FOR TRUMPET - FRENCH HORN
This tool set is excellent at both removing dents from slides and expanding and rounding out loose or badly fitting
slides. It consists of oval-shaped expanders that are screwed on a rod. Each expandable ball (nos.147) can be
combined with each rod (no.146/1-3), which makes our expanders a very economical purchase and offers you the
option of adding to a basis set at any time you find it useful.
Our precision made, six-section expandable balls are expanded equally and smoothly by means of a long fine thread that
allows micrometer-type adjustment. They are of polished steel with hard chrome plating and do not scratch the tubing.
When removing dents the slide is moved back and forth over the ball, when widening slides you carefully expand the ball.
Apply lubricant during both operations. Tool can be hand-held or fixed in vise.
Top results are achieved if the expandable ball is only slightly less in diameter than the tubing. It is not advisable to use balls

ROLLING DENT AND STRAIGHTENING TOOL FOR TROMBONE SLIDES

With this tool you can remove dents in trombone slides a lot more easily and quickly than
with a burnisher. Just insert a cylindrical bolt of appropriate size (nos. 157/1,2) into the
slide and move it back and forth between the two plastic rollers on the one side and the
hardened steel roller on the other side. Dont forget to rotate the slide! All three rollers are
adjustable, the steel roller puts pressure on the slide, the two plastic rollers guide it.
This tool is superior to similar tools with only two rollers because the slide is not bent as
inevitably will happen if you push the slide against the rollers by hand. With three rollers
pressure is only applied at a short section of the slide. Our tool can also be used to

TUNING SLIDE PLIERS

These special pliers are used for removing tuning slides that are stuck or corroded.
You fit the sharp edge of the pliers into the gap between the inner slide and the outer slide.
Set the safety screw and tap on the pliers with a plastic hammer (cat. no. 785/22)
to remove the inner slide. You should apply oil or grease to help this operation.
This only works if it is possible to clasp the tubing well with the claws of the pliers

COPYING JIG FOR WOODWIND INSTRUMENTS

This jig is used for copying patterns of tone holes from an instrument or a drilled metal tube as template. Adjustable in length
- for instrument parts from 150mm to 380mm. Adjustable in two axes - movement in the longitudinal axis (x) by hand or
through gear-rack-drive (a toothed wheel), movement in the lateral axis (y) by turning the set screw. The movement of the
lateral axis is controlled by a dial. A lever locks the jig firmly in any position. The instrument parts are held in a 3-jaw-chuck
at the one end, the other end is held in a live centre.
The master-tube is clamped in the lower spindle, the new instrument is clamped in the upper spindle. The spindles move

This tool is used for removing dents and rounding out-of-round

foot joints. Our precision made, six-section expander is slightly oval
