No School Friday, November 10th, in observance of Veterans Day

Cub Cheers: Congratulations to the students in Asmundsons Class they did
our Friday Announcements last week and were fabulous! Congratulations to
the following students for receiving Cox Cub of the Week: Bailey Deck,
MaiLee Wachter, Stephanie Guidoux, Mary Nally, Jaxon Haycock,
Chloe Mingarelli, Aubrey Adair-Kramer, Athena Arthontas, Jack Ross,
Mark Otomo, Tamanna Ansary, Payson Harry, Isabella Franze,
Emily Holmes, Killian VanOstrand, Alec Imboden, and Bella Gonzalez.

Fifth Grade Parent Meeting: Parents, the 5th Grade Field Trip to Sea
World has been booked and our parent meeting is next Tuesday, the 14th at
5:30 before the PTA meeting in the Library. The $50.00 deposit must be
made by December 12th.

All projects are due Monday, November 13th! Keep up the great work with the Within Reach Theme!

in to get the most up-to-date grades. Also, you can find school information on our website, through the parentlink texts sent

PTA News: Just a reminder that all Reflections Projects are due Monday, November 13th! Please join us for our
November PTA meeting at 6 pm in the Library on the 14th! School Organizational Team Update (second posting):
Our November SOT meeting will be following the PTA meeting at 7 pm in the Library.

A Look Ahead: Nevada SB287 Parent Volunteering

*All events listed are subject to change. Parents,
Nov 3-Dec Digital Planetarium at Cox Nevada has passed a law with specific requirements for individuals
Nov 10 No School in Honor of Veterans Day volunteering in our schools. At DMC we average over 25 parent
Nov 14 PTA Mtg. 6 pm volunteers a week and we love our parents! They are invaluable to
SOT Mtg. 7 pm our programs here!
Nov 17 Crazy Hat & Sock Day Dress Up
Nov 20-24 No School Thanksgiving Break The law states that IF a parent volunteers 4 or MORE times per
Nov 28 Honor Choir singing at Ethel M. month OR is left unsupervised with students then they must go
Dec 1 PTA Bingo-Movie Night 5 pm through the volunteer process.
Dec 12SOT Mtg. 5 pm That process includes 1) Completing a volunteer form online at
PTA Mtg. 6 pm the CCSD website (ccsd.net/protectourkids). 2) Get
Dec 152nd Grade Musical Performance 9:30 & 2:15 fingerprinted $60.00 fee (school does not pay for). 3)Once
2nd Grade Art Exhibit application and fingerprinting is submitted and complete then
Dec 18-22 PTA Holiday Shoppe CCSD will issue a badge.
Dec 18-22 Winter Week of Dress Up Days
Dec 25-Jan 5 Winter Break no school We are having our teachers re-work their parent volunteer
schedules so all volunteers fall under the 3 days per month. IF
you would like to go through the process and continue
volunteering MORE than 3 times per month please contact Mrs.
Janosik at 799-5730 for information on going through the SB287
process.
*After school classes/clubs do not fall under the SB287 if not contracted through school.
