Notice for RRB NTPC 2nd stage CBT syllabus and Exam details
of NTPC (Graduate) category posts has been published by Railway
Recruitment Boards. All RRBs will hold a 2nd stage Computer Based
Test (CBT) for various NTPC (Graduate) category posts, in terms of
Para 8.12 and 14.03 of CEN No. 03/2015.

Candidates equal to 15 times of vacancies shall be called for 2nd

stage CBT based on the merit position in the 1st Stage CBT held during
28/03/2016 to 03/05/2016.

RRB NTPC 2nd stage CBT syllabus

RRB NTPC 2nd stage CBT is likely to include questions pertaining to
General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.

Basic Operations, simple factors, Remainder Theorem, Theory of

polynomials, solutions of quadratic equations, relation between its
roots and coefficients.

Trigonometry:

Values of sin x, cos x and tan x, for x = 0, 30, 45, 60 and 90 Simple
trigonometric identities. Use of trigonometric tables. simple cases of
heights and distances.

Geometry:

Lines and angles, Theorems on (i) Properties of angles at a point (ii)

Parallel lines, (iii) Sides and angles of a triangle, (iv) Congruency of
triangles, (v) Similar triangles, (vi) Concurrence of medians and
altitudes, (vii) Properties of angles, sides and diagonals of a
parallelogram, rectangle and square (viii) Circles and its properties
including tangents and normals.

Mensuration:

Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangle and circle,

Surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface and volume of
right circular cones and cylinders, surface area and volume of spheres.

Statistics/Probability.

General Intelligence and reasoning

Related word/letters/numbers
Series with one termmissing
Coding/decoding
BloodRelations
Distance/Direction
Odd number/letters/figures/number pair
Trends & Operations Missing number

Duration and number of questions

in2nd stage CBT Exam
The duration of 2nd stage CBT will be of 90 minutes covering 120
multiple choice objective questions.

Mode of Final Selection in RRB NTPC 03/2015

Final selection of candidates will be based on merit position obtained

in the 2nd stage CBT and/or result of Aptitude Test/Typing Skill Test
wherever applicable. Normalisation of marks will be done as per extant
rules in 1st and 2nd stage CBT.

Date(s) of 2nd stage CBT Exam

The date(s) of 2nd stage CBT shall be published on RRBs website in
due course.Updated final Answer Keys shall again be made available
on RRBs website in September/October 2016.
