I would like to give a talk on how the

Internet can be used for education.

Computer technology in education is not new, but has been introduced in advanced
countries since the early 60s. Malaysia is not left behind inthe current development
of computer-based research. Technology has been incorporated into the school
curriculum as an effort towards instilling interests and a positive attitude towards the
development of technology. The role and use of the internet has begun to assist in
the management of the education system, particularly in the implementation process
of teaching and learning in and outside the classroom that directly involve teachers,
students and parents and also community members who are concerned.

Today, the use of computer in teaching and learning is becoming more important.
Computer is also able to a lot of things beyond human ability. The use of computer
and the Internet become a tool in teaching and learning. It is very widespread and is
used in many designed to help the teachers. The use of ICT in teaching and learning
is to increase the efficiency and the effectiveness of learning outcomes. This is
because teachers can prepare and be ready in the process of teaching and learning.
In this way, teachers can find the information on the teaching better thus can convey
it to the students effectively.

Through the use of ICT, the teaching and learning process will be more interesting
and effective. Teachers can use power point, flash, video, visual, draw various
graphs, charts and other planning work. They only need to apply these tools into
teaching and learning process.
With the ICT, teachers can diversify the learning process and not just focus on
technical lectures alone. It can even improve the quality of teaching by using the
facilities available in the ICT. Through the use of ICT tools, teachers could explain to
the students in more detailed on a particular subject. For example, from the Internet
we can get the latest information about the world of education. The ability to use the
internet is to allow teachers and students to get the latest information and knowledge
more quickly and efficiently . In this way the quality of teaching and learning will be
more efficient because the information can be use in the access to the system.

In this way, lessons are in well designed will affect good learning for the students.
The learning process can be more simpe and concise because the students will be
exposed to an overview and the presentation will be more interesting and easy to
understand. Therefore, students will be not easy to easy tired and bored during their
learning process. They will be attracted bt the style of presetation that is shown
through ICT. Inaddition, the affect od ICT is to make the process and learning is more
intreresting and to create a fun learning environment.

Last but not least, the computer usage is more profited to all in order to increase
thequality of education in producing the society that is knowledgeable and
competitive.
