Subject Specialist (3 positions) - Karachi

Education: Minimum Masters in relevant subject from reputable institution.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in teaching relevant subjects (Science, Maths and
English), curriculum development and teachers training for primary to secondary level schools.
Content knowledge and pedagogy skills in Maths, English and Science subjects are mandatory.

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities based on the approved curriculum that
facilitate student learning
Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans
Select (or set) challenging learning outcomes in accordance with the curriculum for
students of all backgrounds and abilities.
Communicate learning objectives for to students
Identify and select methods and instructional resources to meet students' varying needs
Use an appropriate range of assessment strategies to monitor individual student progress
Counsel students with academic problems
Actively participate in school based Teacher Group Meetings and other professional
development opportunities
Undergo regular performance evaluation/appraisal
Regularly reflect on the effectiveness of teaching and refine approaches where necessary
Responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing ideas and resources and providing support
Supervise and support trainee teachers and newly recruited teacher
SSs position requires minimum 30% of the time travelling to the project locations / schools

Fluency in Sindhi language will be an additional qualification.
