Grade 5/6 Makowsky has had a very full and exci ng month. We did a bit of
travelling with music being the theme. We went to Happy Thought School to
take part in Music Day which was an event for all the Grade 5s (and the 5/6
classes) in the division. We also got to go to the Bell MTS Centre for WE Day. We
enjoyed many performances; singers, DJs and even a boys choir from Africa. But
a?er hearing so many mo va onal speakers, the main idea we came away with
was that anyone can do anything they sent their mind to and to never give up if
you have a dream. We had such a fun and inspira onal day. And, as if this wasnt
enough, we had a very special visitor in our classroom as well. Gabriel, Mrs.
Vailas new son, is the Roots of Empathy baby that will be coming to visit us once
a month un l June. We got to
meet him and hear from Mrs.
Vailas about his milestones. We
are excited to see how Gabriel
grows and changes as the year
goes on. You must agree weve
had an exci ng month.
