Role Purpose:
Under the direct authority of Forman FES, the incumbent performs the work and tasks related to the activity of the fire water
system, fire suppression and the park of fire extinguishers under his responsibility In terms of HSE.
He / she ensures that the execution of the activities related to the Fire Water Systems, fire suppression systems and the fire
extinguisher pool are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the International Standards (NFPA), the 'insurance
He / she guarantees after works the functionality of the system of water network of fire, of suppression of the fire and the park of
the extinguishers mobile.

Role Specific Accountabilities:

1- Efficient execution and team spirit


a. Capacit suivre les consignes et dmontrer un esprit danalyse et dinitiative pour lapplication des politiques
de lentreprise lies la sant et la scurit.
b. Sintgrer au sein de lquipe charge du Systme de rseau deau dincendie et de suppression dincendie et le
parc des extincteurs mobiles et dintervenir de selon lactivit de manire autonome;
c. Faire et complter linventaire des quipements et les fournitures du Systme de rseau deau dincendie et de
suppression dincendie et le parc des extincteurs mobiles sur lensemble des Sites dAmbatovy ;
d. Suivre les plans, schma et diagramme tablis pour chaque zone (sur support papier et informatique) pour
lexcution des travaux de maintenance ;
e. Rapporter les rsultats correspondants lactivit dinspections, de tests et de maintenance du Systme de
rseau deau dincendie et de suppression dincendie et le parc des extincteurs mobiles dans GMAO (infor EAM) ;

f. Accomplir le travail programm chaque jour pour assurer une disponibilit des matriels et outils ncessaires
ainsi que de la main duvre ;
g. Proposer lacquisition des quipements et fournitures ncessaires pour la maintenance du Systme de rseau
deau dincendie, de suppression dincendie et le parc des extincteurs mobiles ;
h. Rpondre aux urgences en cas de dfaillance du Systme de rseau deau dincendie et de suppression
dincendie et le parc des extincteurs mobiles
2- Management of fire protection equipment & Communication
a. Carry out periodic inspection and testing activities and preventive, curative maintenance work including the new
works of the Fire and Fire Suppression System and the Mobile Fire Extinguisher Park in accordance with
Procedures in Ambatovy and international standards (NFPA);
b. Effectively communicate and work closely with Operations and Maintenance to carry out maintenance work on
the Fire and Fire Suppression System and the Fire Extinguisher Pool;
c. Carry out insulations of the Fire Water Suppression and Fire Suppression System and the Fire Extinguisher Pool in
accordance with the Ambatovy rules;
d. Report to Forman FES the non-compliances of the Fire and Fire Suppression System and the Fire Extinguisher
Pool in accordance with local and international standards applicable to the Company (NFPA);
e. Report to FES Forman the actions taken and the follow-up of the activities of the Fire Water Suppression and Fire
Suppression System and the Fire Extinguisher Pool;
f. Intervene and support the Fire and Fire Suppression System team and the Moramanga Mine Fire Extinguisher
Park and maintain a very good relationship;
g. Reporting incident reports to the FES Forman, fire and fire suppression system arrears reports and the fire
extinguisher park;
3- Training and development of the team
a. Participate in specific training on the use of new high-performance tools related to the Fire Water Suppression
and Fire Suppression System activity and the mobile fire extinguisher park;
b. Attend required training; Strict compliance with HS and wellness rules;
c. Attend FES training courses, with a certificate, for continuous improvement and upgrading of knowledge
required to perform tasks as recommended (NFPA);
d. Keep up-to-date trainings of Fire and Fire Suppression System and Fire Extinguisher Park with regular training and
assessment required in relation to Ambatovy and International (NFPA) requirements.
e. Participate in HS advisory arrangements; Cooperate positively in the investigation of incidents.
Other Dimensions:
Excellent knowledge of the equipment and components of the Fire and Fire Suppression System and the Fire Extinguisher
Pool
Technical capacity in Maintenance of the fire-fighting and fire suppression system and the park of mobile extinguishers;
Availability to work outside normal working hours,
Written and oral communication skills (French and English) and highly oriented towards customer service;
Very good knowledge in industrial and hydraulic mechanics;
Proficiency in computer tools (Word, Excel) - ideally knowledge of programming automata or other
Experience in stock and equipment management
Ability to work as a team
Education, Experience, Designations:
Minimum 2 years experience in industrial and / or construction maintenance
BACC +3 Diploma in the technical field
