Annual Plan 2010/2011
Main Objectives
• Highlight environmental problems in a
way that increases the awareness
amongst students and other parts of the
civil society.
• Engage and enlighten students in issues
related to sustainable development.
• Influence Lund's University and related
organizations to improve their for
sustaina-bility and reduce their negative
environmental impact.
Operational Plan
Hållbart Universitet will:
• Work with a positive attitude to make
more nations reach the NationsGrodan
(Nation Frog) criteria, as well as
administrate and develop this
environmental diploma system.
• Mobilize students and others for the
“Global Work Party” 10/10/10 – a global
action
day for climate with the slogan “Get to
Work!”
• Cooperate with other organizations, for
example within Klimatsamverkan (the
network developed before COP15).
• Develop and improve the structure of
the organization through a clear division
of
responsibilities.
• Increase the number of members so
that we can do more positive change.
• Take care of the members and their
engagement by having positive social
activities,
having an open, inclusive attitude, and
by encouraging members to work with
what they are passionate about.
• Continue to use the spokescouncil
model for meetings with the different
working
groups, and try different methods for
improved meeting facilitation, such as
hand
signals or open space principles.
• Have a stabile economy and develop a
fundraising strategy to secure the
organization activities.
• Mainly carry through projects that are in
line with the main objectives of the
organization.
New members
Hållbart Universitet will:
• Participate in the welcoming fair
(Hälsningsgillet) in the beginning of
every semester.
• Arrange social activities for all members,
especially in the beginning of the
semesters.
• Clarify the main objectives of the
organization to new members so that its
purpose and possibilities are clear.
• Strive after an increased diversity
among the members of the organization
regarding areas of education and
nationalities.
Economy
Sustainable University will continue to seek
funding and grants from different sources (well
in advance for new projects) to ensure the
financial stability of the organization.
Board
The board is responsible for the economy. Its
main purpose is to coordinate and facilitate the
different projects and to inspire the members of
the organization.
National level
Sustainable University will continue the
membership in Swedish Ecodemics (Svenska
Ekodemiker) and participate in their
conferences, courses, and activities as much as
possible. Sustainable University will also inform
about the work of Swedish Ecodemics and
encourage members to participate in their
activities.
