ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Diabetes Melitus adalah suatu kelompok penyakit metabolik yang
tergolong penyakit kronik dengan karakteristik hiperglikemia yang terjadi karena
keterlambatan sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, atau keduanya. Diabetes melitus sering
mempengaruhi potensi seksual pria. Sekitar 50 % pasien diabetes pria mengalami disfungsi
ereksi dan 30 % penurunan libido, salah satunya disebabkan menurunnya kadar testosteron.

Tujuan: penelitian ini adalah untuk Untuk mengetahui Hubungan lama menyandang
Diabetes Melitus dengan kejadian Disfungsi Ereksi pada pasien pria Diabetes Melitus tipe 2.

Metode : Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan
pendekatan waktu cross sectional. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive
sampling dan didapatkan sampel sebanyak 61 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji
Spearman dengan alpha 0,05.

Hasil : Hasil penelitian didapatkan ada hubungan bermakna antara lama menyandang
diabetes melitus dengan kejadian disfungsi ereksi pada pasien pria Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di
Klinik Penyakit Dalam RS. Pertamina Bintang Amin Bandar Lampung diperoleh nilai p =
0,014.

Kesimpulan : Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan bermakna antara lama
menyandang diabetes melitus dengan kejadian disfungsi ereksi pada pasien pria diabetes
melitus tipe 2 di Klinik Penyakit Dalam RS. Pertamina Bintang Amin Bandar Lampung

ABSTRACT

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases that are categorized as

chronic diseases with characteristic hyperglycemia that occurs due to a delay in insulin
secretion, insulin action, or both. Diabetes mellitus often affect a man's sexual potency.
Approximately 50% of diabetic patients with erectile dysfunction of men and 30% decrease in
libido, one of them due to decreased testosterone levels.

Objective: This study is to to determine correlation between duration of diabetes mellitus

with the incidence of erectile dysfunction in male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in
Clinical Medicine Hospital Pertamina Bintang Amin Bandar Lampung.

Method: used in this research is analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The sampling
method used purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 61 respondents. This study using
Spearman's test with an alpha of 0.05.

Results: Results research found significant correlation between duration of diabetes mellitus
with the incidence of erectile dysfunction in male patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in
Clinical Medicine Hospital Pertamina Bintang Amin Bandar Lampung obtained value of p =
0.014.

Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between duration of

diabetes mellitus with the incidence of erectile dysfunction in male patients with type 2
diabetes mellitus in Clinical Medicine Hospital Pertamina Bintang Amin Bandar Lampung.
