In the students classroom, they are working on a new math concept -
Graphing. My site supervisor has asked me to come up with different
ways to help teach Child A Graphing. I have created a few
worksheets to help the student understand how to create and read a
graph.
I have created an 5 Graphing Worksheets to help teach the
new math concept. I have divided the worksheets up into two
lessons (2 Lessons - 1 Plan*).
Worksheets 1/2 - Lesson one
Worksheets 3/4/5 - Lesson two
Lesson one will focus on teaching the student how to fill in a
graph based on the information given to him. Lesson two will
focus on teaching the student how to read a graph and answer
questions based on what the graph portrays.
Objectives:
1. The activity will help the child become more familiar the
new math concept - Graphing.
2. Worksheets 1/2 will help teach Child A how to fill in a
graph. Worksheets 3/4/5 will help teach Child A how to
read a graph.
3. The activity will help give the staff an alternative method
to evaluate his math skills to give him a grade.
Materials:
- Graphing worksheets 1/2/3/4/5
Description:
1. I will set out the activity in front of the child.
2. I will explain the activity to him and use the teaching
strategy of scaffolding until he understands the
expectations of the task.
3. I will prompt him throughout the activity ti ensure he is
understanding the lesson and activity.
