This is an open letter to Congressman Mark Go about a feasible bill proposal

for the City of Baguio addressing:

1. Protection of the Environment and traffic regulations.

One of the visited place in the country is the summer capital of the
Philippines, Baguio City due to its great attraction, the way local government
officers conduct the policy, actions, and affairs, and most of all it is the rich and
proud culture of Cordillerans that make the City of Baguio one of the largest
economic contributor in the Country without depriving its unique culture that
amplifies the custom of the Land. However economic, political and social
prominence for more than a century, its rapid population growth and urban
expansion are now exerting pressure on its natural landscape, jeopardizing the
environmental sustainability of this highly valued hill station.

Tourists is one of the main market of the City, but at the same time it puts
too much pressure on the government especially the pollution that theyre causing,
it cannot be risked to lessen or limit the tourist that comes since it will affect socio-
economic factors but the City may regulate the said problem by:

Making or cooperating with private entities to create a parking building

areas in a long-term agreement, they can also impose in their discretion a
parking fees.

One of the biggest problem in the City of Baguio is the traffic and
unwarranted parking affect the flow of the road, slowing them down, as a result the
pollution came out from the stationary car is contributing to an air pollution
compare to a free flowing road, especially to the hilly areas where it is profound in
the city.

According to the World health organization, Baguio City has the dirtiest air
in the Philippines.

The lack of parking area in the City is one of the cause of the traffic which
results to air pollution and even the carbon emission that car produce due to
prolonged opening of the vehicle.

As I said a while ago, by Making or cooperating with private entities to

create a parking building areas in a long-term agreement, they can also impose in
their discretion a parking fees. The project can benefit the people who live and visit
Baguio in their health and the local Government as the more flow on the road will
increase socio-economic development.
2. Healthcare/Free Medication

The City of Baguio have a variety of hospitals with their latest technology it
is not only available on a private hospital but also public, but due to the fees, it
makes people
