(REPORT):

- First of the things, we are being grouped as Group 4. The meeting is held on with all team
members (Table 1) and our lecturer also known as facilitator a.k.a. coordinator, advisor,
motivator, CEO, GM and boss, Dr. Mohammad Yazdi Harmin in the Design and Simulation
Laboratory for one big AVDs project on designing a hybrid-typed aircraft.

- Next, I have explained a bit on the current issues regarding the hybrid-typed aircraft (fixed-
wing) from my own readings previously. And merge with everyone ideas.
- Im being assigned as a Chief Engineer (CE) for the team and as a team we get closely acquainted
to identify and analyze our teams Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT) Analysis
whilst projecting on our meetings objective as we are going to work together for almost a year
on this project.

The objectives are;

1) As CE, define the problem statement of this project.
The short description of the issues that need to be addressed, as in this case, the
detrimental emission, fuel efficiency, fuel burn amount, and finite resources
availability, which is stated as below;
On this old Mother Earth, fossil fuel will always be a finite resources which
somehow may extinct in years ahead. Plus, climate change also have been
sickening the land ever since in terms of natural catastrophic events. Thus,
this hesitatedly leads to an attention call for all nations around the globe in
perserving their energy; for instance, electric. Whilst harvesting the better,
appropriate energy resource (in this case electricity), our team should be
designing a hybrid aircraft technology and system, which also have hybrid
energy storage via batteries and electric motors to achieve comparable

performance goals, range, and fuel efficiency to others civil aircraft (4- to 6-
seat model). With less emissions, less noise, and less fuel burns, this futuristic
green aircraft should preserve the world whilst keep flying.
2) As team, develop the company profile consisting of teams name, motto, oath, vision,
mission, and a logo.
After a session of brainstorm, as the result, we had decided that our teams;

iv. Oath: We, AvionX, swear to fulfill, to the best of our ability and judgement, to
serve and work together with the team, to produce and create the best
innovative designs, in a positive mental attitude of working environment
around all team members.
v. Vision: Sustainable world for future generations both in air and ground.
vi. Mission: The mission is to innovate the idea of advancing hybrid technology
into an
aircraft (fixed-wing) and be eco-aware of environmental issues.
3) As CE, separate and distribute tasks of four (4) conceptual design sketches, for each
member of the team in a small group of two personnel (sub-team).

Each conceptual design sketch is developed with its information retrieval of more
than one references aircraft with their modifications and justifications on any part,
component, system, section, et cetera. The sub-team is tasked as below;
