026 South Brent STW Shellfish Scheme Aqua MCA Queries


clarifications

Firstly we would like to point out that the pricing was produced with the design
information available for the purposes of budget setting so prices had to be based on
previous experience as well as the CEDAR scope. It can be seen from the breakdown
where we have highlighted items in the CEDAR scope which were incorrect.

Wth reference to the specific queries:-

2) Supply and install new Form 2 MCC for Storm Pumps and Storm Screen includes
PLC equipment :
Details about the MCC, particularly drawings, and some explanation how they
calculated the MCC cost;

Response : - We have referenced previous Bathing Waters Schemes such as


Ivybridge and Liskeard and our own experience of building panels for SWW for
over twenty years for understanding of requirements. Detailed pricing was not
carried at this stage as overall scheme design was not complete and figure is
conservative as there was danger that pump sizes could increase affecting VSD
pricing. Previous schemes have been created with Zelio rather M340 so new
schematics need to be created.

- How many hours they are considering to software development (8 hours or 8


days). Detail the work to be delivered by Fennicus on this item.

Response : - We have referenced previous Bathing Waters Schemes such as


Ivybridge and Liskeard and our own experience of developing software for SWW
for over twenty years for understanding of requirements. The eight days would be
broken down as follows. Previous schemes have been created with Zelio rather
M340 so new code needs to be created.

I. Functional Design Specification, Network Drawing & PLC IO - to create


a new FDS inline with the new control philosophy 1day
II. PLC Code - New PLC code within the additional M340 2days
III. iSCADA Data - Make data/tag list available for iSCADA team for easy and fast
migration. day
IV. HMI - Create new pages for ancillary equipment and UV data that will be
recorded. 1 days
V. Internal & Client Panel Testing - Allowed 1 day internal FAT and 1 day
client FAT testing.
VI. Telemetry - Recording data available for off site records. day
VII. Commissioning Assistance 2 Days - Assist commissioning engineer total 2
day

3) Electrical Installation of all equipment including screen:


MCC supply:
- Explain the sizing of the MCC supply;
- Purpose of the containment sundries.

Response : - We have agreed with Phil Balch (SWW Senior Commissioing


Engineer) after site investigations of existing power distribution to re=use the
supply from LVDB to existing obsolete Dewatering MCC to future proof the
installation. This has benefit of power supply cable being reduced from 100m
length. We have not carried out site shutdown required to see how the cable
enters the old MCC so have an allowance to replace containment to existing
building services and probably flooring when old MCC is removed.

Storm Return Pump 1 / Storm Return Pump 2:

- More details about E002.04 - >30kW Isolator E-Stop JB and SS005.3 -


Size 3 Bracket Complete.

Response : - Nomenca utilize a number of Off Site Build items from our own
standard catalogue called SAFE (Skilled Assembly Factory Environment).All
items within the MCA with quote source of SAFE are standard stock items

Labour:
- More detail about the costs with the supervisor and the 2 approved electrician.

Response:- Due to lack of detail in the design at this point this is an estimate
based on experience of work involved.

4) Storm Return Pumps Install:


- More detail about the reference of Pulsar ULTRA TWIN - Wall mount enclosure
with integral keypad IP 65. If possible, present vendor quotation;
- More detail about the reference of PPM BB 130D Blackbox 130 24v Wall
Mounted. If possible, present vendor quotation;
- If possible, present vendor quotation for Pulsar db15 Transducer with 20M Flex
(DB06005000000-BP).

Response :- These are all SWW TS411 items with Framework Prices.

5) Supply Storm Return Flowmeter for Mech install by BB:


- If possible, present vendor quotation for Siemens 200mm MAG5100W Waste
Water, Siemens MAG6000 110V - 230V AC Wall Mounted, Siemens Wall
Mounting Kit, Siemens IP68 Epoxy Resin Fill Kit, and Siemens Sun Screen.

Response :- These are all SWW TS411 items with Framework Prices.

7) Removal of old MCC and replacement DB:


- Explain better what is the work that needs to be done and detail more the
amount of labour required.

Response : - We have agreed with Phil Balch (SWW Senior Commissioing


Engineer) after site investigations of existing power distribution to re=use the
supply from LVDB to existing obsolete Dewatering MCC to future proof the
installation. To enable this we need to further site investigate existing control
circuits and distribution within the existing MCC. When isolated and any
temporary supplies installed the existing 5m L x 2.2m H x 0.6m D MCC needs to
be removed from its plinth and from site and any redundant cables removed.
Then a new distribution board needs to be installed in its place and existing
building services redressed to it.

8) Kiosk for new MCC inc services:


- Present details of the kiosk and kiosk services. If possible, present vendor
quotation.
Response : - We have agreed with Phil Balch (SWW Senior Commissioing
Engineer) after site investigations to mount a non walk-in full height kiosk on outside
edge of the existing dewatering building to house new MCC. This is an estimate from
experience due to lack of detailed design at this stage. There is a danger that the pump
sizes will increase meaning VSD sizes increase.

9) Control of FFT Penstock:


- How many hours they are considering to software development (3 hours or 3
days). Detail the work to be delivered by Fennicus on this item.

Response : - We have referenced our own experience of developing software for


SWW for over twenty years for understanding of requirements. The three days
would be broken down as follows.

I. Functional Design Specification, Network Drawing & PLC IO


Allowance to modify scheme docs to alow for FFT control FDS 1/2day
II. PLC Code - New PLC code within the additional M340 1/2day
III. HMI - Create new pages for ancillary equipment and UV data that will be
recorded. 1/2 days
IV. Internal & Client Panel Testing - Allowed 1/4 day internal FAT and 1/4 day
client FAT testing.
V. Commissioning Assistance 2 Days - Assist commissioning engineer total 1
day
