The objective of this study is to enhance the understanding of standard four students regarding

the Chronology of Parameswara's Journey from Palembang to Malacca through the "Play Box"
method. The respondents are comprised of 4 students. Data was collected through observations,
interviews and documents analysis. Previous surveys show that the level of knowledge about
Chronology of Parameswara's Journey was poor. Our current study reveals that there is an
improvement on students level of knowledge after they have attempted the "Play Box" method.
This method helps students to fathom the history of Parameswara's Journey in an easier and
more interesting way. All qualitative data were searched descriptively and are presented in the
form of summaries, tables and charts. Documents analysis, such as respondents worksheets
strongly support this outcome. In short, "Play Box" method is useful in enhancing the knowledge
about Chronology of Parameswara's Journey among standard four students. Thus, this method
should be actively employed by all teachers to provide a better learning process in History
subject. It helps to achieve a more effective and holistic future education.
