Abstract: This study discusses the tourism information literacy among a sample of
students from the college of social sciences after studying information skills course .
This course focuses on the means of extracting and finding different kinds of
information resources printed and electronic. The student learn in this course how to
evaluate the various web sites according to a specific criteria to distinguish the reliable
sources from other sources on the internet . Since the electronic tourism has become
nowadays a competitor to travel agencies , this study focused on the skills that the
students acquired in this course and the usefulness of these skills in supporting their
tourism choices and decisions .
