30 repossession cases at Nenagh Court today

Today at Nenagh courthouse up to 30 repossession cases were before county registrar Mr James
Seymour. Included in todays court list were some of the most active Vulture Fund financial
institutions who are now beginning to start the process of Repossessing family homes that they
picked up at hugely discounted prices. The passing of the land and conveyancing bill by the Fine Gael
and Labour Government and supported by Fianna Fil has opened the possibility of thousands of
families being kicked out of their family homes with many of them coming from Tipperary. Of course,
our local T Ds who voted to open the repossession floodgates did not consider the viciousness of
some of the Security companies who are accompanying Sheriffs to forcibly throw families out onto
the streets some of these thugs are ex British and Irish military and turn up in balaclavas in some of
the worst cases. I am now calling on the Department to cease all evictions until there is proper
regulation as to who are licenced to take possession of repossessed houses. I am also calling on a
repossession moratorium until all banks have come clean on recent high-profile mistakes in
calculating arrears and tracker mortgages malpractice.

Yours sincerely Cllr. Samie Morris M C C 27/11/17
