My favorite art medium is drawing, it's an easy way for me to
express how I feel and where my mind is at that moment,
however drawing is not my only favorite art medium, I love
paintings of all kinds of materials, photography, and filming. I've
realized I enjoy seeing paintings done by artists more than I enjoy
painting myself that's why when I really want to express
something I just grab my pencil and my sketch pad. I'm
passionate about photography as well and how this can capture
a moment for all time.
I love artists like Michelangelo, Da Vinci, and Van Gogh among
many. A few years ago I came across this local artist who is the
owner of a beautiful fancy restaurant called Cafe Madrid here in
Salt Lake City, his name is Juan Carlos Pinto, he's originally from
Venezuela, but raised in Spain, his oil paintings are incredible, the
technique he uses with his brushesstrokes makes his paintings
feels as if they were moving. I had the pleasure to meet him and
tell him how much I admired his work, and his fancy restaurant.
