All Pick ‘n Pay employees, with the exception of these ‘who belong to the SACCAWU fund, now belong to the new provident fund. This new fund is a non-contributory fund, meaning that Pick ‘n pay will pay the total contribution to the fund. Employees will not be required to contribute. Thus an increase to your salary will also be applied 10 the contribution made on your behalf by the company to this new Provident Fund. It gives me great pleasure to inform you that your monthly salary has been increased by R 1159.00 to R 16575.00 with effect from 1 June 2001.
