INTRODUCTION

This research is about the study to develop a new bio lubricant and its composition. Nowadays, the lubricant based on natural resources is focused on overcoming the
rising prices of petroleum based oil and to make more friendly environmental lubricant. In this research the lubricant is more focus on the palm oil. The palm oil was
chosen because Malaysia is one of the major producer in the South East Asian. There are many focal points of replacing mineral oil to vegetables oil as lubricants
since the vegetable oil based are biodegradable, non dangerous, cheaper and easy to find.

PROBLEM STATEMENT RESULTS

The mineral based oil also been hardly to dispose and harass
the environment.

DISCUSSION
Far superior to that of mineral oil.
Lubricant is potential in the some applications Based on density graph, SO100-PO0 has a low density value around
0.868kg/m3 and for SO0-PO100 the density value is 0.906kg/m3.
COMMERCIALIZATION
For every added of 20% of palm olein into semi synthetic engine oil, the
Abundance source of raw material for production line. density value decrease 0.01kg/m3.
High potential which led to positive impact on the
environmental sustainable and high cost effectiveness. According to Obasi et al. (2014) the ASTM specification for the density of
multi grid engine oil falls within the range of 0.886 to 0.906kg/m3.

Since the value of the 100% semi synthetic is without the range this results
METHODOLOGY till valid because the value that get from experiment is same as the value that
pro vide by the manufacture of this semi synthetic engine oil.

Based on viscosity graph, the oil composition value is below 60mm2/s.


Analysis Density
PO100-SO0 has lower viscosity value which is 16mm2/s while PO0-SO100
has higher viscosity value which is 52.5mm2/s.
Analysis Viscosity
From this, the les contain of semi synthetic will reduce the viscosity of that oil.

According to Farhanah et al. (2015) the higher viscosity usually has high

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on density, it can conclude that all of oil composition can be used as engine oil, but the best density is SO80 - PO20 because the value of the density
is not different from the SO100 - PO0.
Based on viscosity, it can conclude that for every 20% reduce the semi synthetic engine oil by added the palm olein the properties of oil change because of that the
viscosity value also changes. From that, the best viscosity value is PO20 - SO80 (48mm2/s) because the value not different from the 100% semi synthetic oil.

Use clean the glassware before used to avoid any contaminants.


To obtain accuracy in reading avoid parallax error and read measuring on the eye level.
