SUBJECT : PRACTICAL RESEARCH 1


COURSE CODE : RSCH 111
COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course aims to acquaint Senior High School students with
the concepts, principles, themes, methods, and rudiments of
conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
COURSE CREDIT : 2 Hours per week

COURSE POLICY

I. CLASS RULES

1. Students should be polite and courteous to TEACHERS, each other and VISITORS.
2. Students are expected to be punctual.
3. Full school uniform is to be worn.
4. Mobile phones and other electronic equipment may only be used before school, at break
and lunch times. Any items seen during class hours will be confiscated and kept
securely.
5. Boys are not allowed to wear jewelry (earrings). For girls wear only one small gold or
silver stud in each earlobe. Facial and tongue piercings are not acceptable on grounds of
health and safety. Students who break the rule and wear jewelry will be told to remove it.
6. Smoking is strictly forbidden.
7. Cheating is completely unacceptable.
8. Offensive, derogatory, and profane terms are not tolerated.

II. ATTENDANCE

1. A student is considered tardy if he/she arrives within 15mins of the scheduled class
period regardless of class period duration.
2. Three (3) consecutive tardiness are equivalent to one (1) absent.
3. The student is responsible for providing satisfactory evidence to the instructor to
substantiate the reason for absence.
4. No students may leave the classroom without permission from the Subject Instructor.
III. CLASS CONSEQUENCES

1. Verbal Warning
2. Referral to SHS Coordinator/ Deans Office
o Demerits may be given depending on the gravity of offense.

IV. GRADING SYSTEM

1. Written Works (25%) Quizzes, Portfolio, Long Test


2. Performance Task (50%) Projects, Recitation, Group Works, Drafts
3. Quarterly Exam/ Term Exam (25%)
