HI! Im Ms. Jimenez

I would love to extend a warm welcome to you and your child to a brand new school year! It is a
privilege to be able to teach your child in my class of Family and Consumer Sciences. We will be learning
about various topics during the year including, foundations, family studies and human services, human
development, nutrition, wellness and food science, food, lodging and hospitality, consumer and
resource management, textiles and apparel, and environmental design.

This is my first year teaching at HAPPY HIGH SCHOOL and Im so excited to be part of your childs
education! I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. My father is a retired teacher, my husband is a
teacher, and my best friend is also a teacher! So, its easy to say, Ive been around some form of
education all my life! I graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio;
Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Health Sciences.

I would greatly appreciate your support during the school year in creating a positive learning
environment. I have three classroom procedures that I ask of all my students:

1. Be on time to class- student should enter the room quietly and sit down before the bell rings,
tardiness will not be tolerated.
2. All homework assignments with due dates are listed on board- students are expected to turn in
completed assignments/homework on their due dates.
3. Cell phones are to be placed on silent before student enters the classroom and stored away with
their belongings.
4. Students should always show respect to themselves and to others at all times.

Should you need to meet or contact me regarding your child, you are welcome to reach me. I
am available during 4th period M-F from 1pm-1:45pm and after school from 4pm-4:30pm. You can reach
me by phone or email. If youd like to meet in person, we can make an appointment.

Im looking forward to an amazing year filled with lots of fun and opportunity for learning!
