Sunday-December 3rd
Advent is a four-week period that marks the beginning of the Christmas season. It is a
time of spiritual preparation before the celebration of the birth of Christ. The period of
Advent involves reflection about what it meant for the world before Christ came and
preparing the church and hearts for the true meaning of Christmas. May we let
ourselves be drawn by the light of God made man.

The Five Love Languages
A Self Discovery Opportunity
6 Session Book Study
Beginning January 24, 2018
7 PM at Peace Church Barrett

Join Marilyn Leraas and Roger Knapp for discussion of The Five Love
Languages... a book and concept first defined by Dr. Gary Chapman. Participants
will learn about themselves and 5 easy ways to more effectively communicate the
compassion, caring, and importance that they feel for their loved-ones.

Chapman says about his book: In this world were surrounded by more people than
ever yet we often still feel alone. Being single or married has nothing to do with
whether you need to feel loved! Everyone has a God-given yearning for
complete and unconditional love in the context of all relationships. If you want to
give and receive love most effectively, you've got to learn to speak the right love
language. Different people with different personalities express love in different
ways, in fact; there are five very specific languages of love: Words of
Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service, Quality Time, and Physical Touch.
