Death of PROPHETS
TherearethosemisinformedpeoplewhobelievethattheAhlasSunnahWalJamaactuallybelievethatthe
ProphetMuhammad(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace)didnotdie!!Whatagrossaccusation!!The
truebeliefoftheAhleSunnahwalJama,isthattheProphet(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace),
diddie,butheisaliveinhisgrave.

Itisinthegrave,thattheProphetMuhammad,(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace),ispresented
withourdeeds,andmakessupplicationonbehalfoftheUmmah.Thiswillbelookedintofurtherinanother
chapterofthebook,InshaAllah.Therearealsoinstances,wheretheProphet(MayAllahblesshimand
granthimpeace)willappearinourdreamsandcomfortuswithgoodnewsandgladtidings.Wealso
believe,thattosendSalaam[salutations]toourProphet(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace),will
bemetwithareplyback.Therearemanynarrationsthatsupportthis,whichwillbediscussedlateronin
thisbook.

BlasphemicBelief

AgreatScholaroftheAhlasSunnahwalJama,SayyidAhmadSaeedShahKaazmi,writes:

'TheonewhostatesthattheSouloftheProphet,(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace),wasnot
takenandheneverdied,isaKafirandisoutofthecircleofIslam.

ThisisthebeliefoftheAhleSunnahwalJammatbutthepeoplewhosaytheAhleSunnahbelieve,that

onus.

ShaykhulMakkah,ShaykhAlawisaysthatthemeaningoftheAnbiya(Prophets)passingaway,meansthat
theyhavebeentakenawayfromusandwecannotseethemjustliketheAngelsare.

AllahmostHighsaysintheQuraam,

thosewhohavebeenslaininthewayofAllahneverthinkofthemasdeadbuttheyarealivewiththeir
Lord,gettheirsubsistence[SurahAlImranverse169]

Ofcourse,itgoeswithoutsayingthatthepositionoftheProphets,(MayAllahblessthemandgrantthem
peace)isaboveandbeyondthestatusofthosewhoaremartyredinAllahsway.Thishoweverimplicates,
thatnevertheless,he(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace)isalivetoo.

QadiShawkawniwrites:

IntheQuranitismentionedthatmartyrsarealiveandfoodisprovidedforthemTheProphetsand
Righteouspeoplearealothigherinstatusthanthemsowhatwillbetheirplace?Ithasbeenproven
throughAhadeeththatProphetsarealiveintheirgraves.BothImamTirmiziandImamBayhaqihavesaid
thatthisisanauthenticAhadith.

AtaBinKhalidstated:MyAuntwenttothegraveofHamza(MayAllahbewellpleasedwithhim)andsaid,
Asslamualaikum!SheheardtheansweroftheSallamandthevoicewascomingfromundertheearth.
Shesaid,IrecognisedtheanswerofmySalaam,asIrecognisethatAllahmostHighhascreatedme.AsI
recognisethedifferencesbetweendayandnight,thatishowclearitwas.BesidesmyslaveandItherewas
nootherperson,whichiswhyIwasfrightened.

HafidhhIbnKathirwrites:

AyoungpersonusedtocometotheMosqueforhisprayers.Onedayawomanwithbadintentionsinvited
himtoherhouse,whenhewasinherhouseherecitedaversefromtheHolyQuranloudlyandcollapsed
anddiedfromthefearofAllah.Thepeopleprayedthefuneralprayerandburiedhim.UmarmayAllahbe
wellpleasedwithhim,asked:WhereisthatyoungindividualwhousedtocometotheMosqueforhis
prayers?'Theyreplied:'Hepassedawayandwehaveburiedhim'.UmarMayAllahbewellpleasedwith
him,wenttohisgraveandcalledouttohimandrecitedaversefromtheHolyQuran:Butforhimwho
fearstostandbeforehisLordtherearetwoParadises'(SurahAlRahman,verse46)Theyoungmanreplied
fromhisgraveIndeedAllahhasgivenmetwoParadises.[TafsirIbnKathirunderSurahAlAraf,verse
202]

ItisproventhatourProphet,(MayAllahblesshimandgranthimpeace),isaliveinhisgrave.Sheikhul
Makkah,ShiekhAlawisaysthatthepassingawayoftheProphetsonlymeansthattheyhavebeentaken
awayfromusandwecannotseethem,justaswecantseetheangels.(Mafahimpage165SheikhAlawi

FromtheabovewecanconcludethattheProphetsandtheRighteouspeoplearealiveandcantalkafter
theyhavepassedaway,andtheycananswerourSalaamsafterpassingaway.Theyarefullyawareofthe
worldlymatters,throughthepowerthatAllahmostHigh,hasgrantedthem.Theirlifeismuchbetterthan
ours.
