DURING SHARED READING WE.
hhave been discussing what digraphs (two letters, one
sound) and blends (two letters, two sounds) are during,
‘Shared Reading and what makes them so special. We
hhave been listing words that we find in books that start
with the different digraphs and blends. See if your child
can tell you what each one is and some different words
that start with each.

when you get to 25, 50, and 75 too, for your child to

The Holiday Program is coming up Thursday,
December 7". During this program, each grade will
perform songs/routines they have learned in music class
with Mr. Meyer. Doors open at $:45 pm with the
program starting at 6:00. Kindergarten’s theme is “The
Night Sky’ so we are asking the children to wear black.
Additional ideas to complete your child’s outfit can be
‘anything that glitters or sparkles (¢.g., hair bows,
sweaters, bracelets with stars or sequins.) Make sure to
bring your camera and other family members if they are
in town! | will put a reminder (label) on the children
that afternoon to help you remember.
| would like to thank everyone that helped and made our
‘Camp Day at Town Creek Park the best ever! Between
sending in items for various stations/activities, cooking
and serving hot dogs, transporting lunches, walking to
and from the park, your support meant all the
difference. Thanks to everyone that made this day
possible,
As the cooler months are arriving and children are
beginning to wear jackets, please make sure their names
printed in them. It helps out tremendously if they are
ever misplaced!
NEEDED
Ifyour mailbox at home is like mine, it is constantly full
of credit card applications, bills, donation requests,
subscriptions, etc. Ifyou find yourself tossing the
return envelopes in the trash, we would love to have
them for our writing center!
We need clear, gallon-sized plastic jugs (e.g., gallon
milk containers) for an activity we will be doing later
this month,
Since the cooler months are here, I think it would be a
good idea for everyone to send in a warmer change of
clothes to have at school. I'll make sure to return the
clothes I currently have, from the beginning of the year,
when I receive a new set from you, When spring gets
here, 'll be sure to put another reminder in the
newsletter about swapping again.
