Summarize the content of the book

A. Tell Me Again About the Night I Was Born is an adoption story. The beginning starts
off with a little girl holding her baby book and asking her parents to tell her about the
night she was born. Each page begins with, Tell me again how as the little girl
recalls each step her parents went through to bring home their baby. It begins in their
home while they are sleeping, when they receive a phone call. Then, they fly in a
plane and travel to the hospital that the baby is at. That is when they see her for the
first time. They feed her, change her diaper, and bring her home. She recounts their
first night at home together when her father tells her about baseball and her mom
sang her a lullaby. At the end it shows the little girl with her parents laying outside in
the grass when she asks them once again to tell her about the night she was born.

Explain how the book appeals to children, their interests, developmental levels, fun
illustrations etc. Give specific examples from the book:

Every child has a birth story. Children like to hear about the events that occurred when they
were born. This story isnt just amazing for children who have been adopted but also for
other children to learn about different family dynamics. The cartoon art is fun for children
because as the little girl is recounting her parents memories, the illustrations show exactly
what they were doing in those memories. For instance, when they received the phone call
that she was born, they were sleeping. The art shows the mom lying in bed with her husband,
hes snoring, and she is looking at him. Their family dog is draped across their legs and there
is a book resting on her pillow. There are many baby books scattered around the room,
showing that the parents were anticipating their daughters birth.
