Unifoam was started in the year 1976 by Mr. Khalid Rashid Sheikh who is currently the chairman
of the company. The company deals in the manufacturing business mainly in the categories of
textile products and bedding. Unifoam stands among the top 3 companies in terms of market share
and is registered with SEC of Pakistan1. Unifoam was started as a Private limited company and
has become a key player in the Furniture Manufacture and Import sector of Pakistan.

Unifoam has been operating successfully since 1976 with an extensive dealers/distributors
network of over 400 across Pakistan. The company outlets are located in Lahore, Rawalpindi,
Sialkot, Gujrat, Peshawar, Sukkar, Multan, Karachi, Sargodha and Faisalabad division. The
company operates via its dealer/distributors. In addition to this they are also shifting towards their
own retailer network. Hence they are reaching their customers through both dealers network and
their own retail network.

United Foam industries is one of the pioneers and leading industries in foam manufacturing and
related products in Pakistan. Unifoam is ranked third in the foam manufacturers after Molty Foam
and Diamond Foam. In foam manufacturing industry customers comfort and health are premium
concerns, Unifoam had been able to create a good will among the retailers and customers. It
introduced wide range of products and kept affordable prices in order to get more customers
whereas Molty foam in contrast introduced high cost products. The industry where innovation and
technology has been a major part, Unifoam had adapted to the constantly changing trends of the
industry2.

Unifoam have divided its products under various brand names according to the quality of products.
Their products have basically 7 qualities depending upon the durability and other features and they
have categorized these qualities among various brands listed; Unifoam, Shaheen Foam and Dream
Foam. Their key products are; Foam Mattress, Spring Mattresses, Ultra Range Foam Mattress,
Special Range Foam Mattress and various others. This report however, will focus on their product
