Lesson Objectives: These must be SMART objectives specific, measurable, achievable, relevant,

By the end of the lesson, students will be (better) able to:
- Derive the number that adds to total 100 from any 1- or 2-digit number.

- Students will be able to develop their communication skills (Group work).

- Students will be able to share answers in the classroom.

Lesson Activities: What will students do in the lesson?


Engagement and explore (5 minutes)

- Teacher will put 2 different envelopes under the table randomly and she will ask 2 students
from the class to stand up a search for it.
- After that teacher will stick a 100 number in the board
- Students will notice that the lesson will be about the total 100
- Teacher will set in the carpet with students and she will start using money (10, 50

and 100) to engage students thinking.

Explain (20 minutes)

1. Teacher will use a 100 chart to explain how can students Derive the number that adds to total

100 from any 1- or 2-digit number in a simple technique

2. Teacher will write this 3 steps in the board

- Circle

- Right

- Down

3. Students are going to use mini white board and a 100 chart (For each student).

4. After the expanding part: teacher will give each group a different activity

Low: Page 62 from 1 to 6.

Middle: Page 62 from 7 to 14 and Page 63 From 1 to 10.

High: Page 63 from 11 to 20

Elaborate

New information: 50 x 2=100

Evaluation / Assessment: How will you know your students have achieved the goal?

Evaluation (15 minutes)

Using a big fish activity: Students will solve a mathematical issue for the total 100 and they will

work in groups, The fish will move around the class to collect answers
Group work activity: Teacher will give each group 4 balls and a worksheet that include 3 questions

Teacher will discuss with students about the answers
