In order for a company to be successful, they need to ensure that the companys assets and revenues
are fully accounted for. This reflection memo serves to explain how I constructed my job packet to
complement Belize Electricity Limiteds interests in hiring a talented individual to be a part of their
Finance Department.

PERSONAL QUALITIES/QUALIFICATIONS OF AN ACCOUNTING CLERK III

In order to fill the job vacancy according to BEL, I must possess the following qualities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills to quickly identify and categorize problems/solutions
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Work effectively as a team player
Demonstrate initiative
Associates Degree in Business Administration
Minimum of two years experience in the accounting field

Although errors that include the input of wrong numbers may occur, an accounting clerk must
use his/her strong analytical skills to resolve the problem.

WRITING PROCESS
The cover letter was written effectively to highlight my qualities that will enhance BELs
finance department. Firstly, I recognized BEL as the only service provider of cost effective
and reliable electricity countrywide. Then, I highlighted my beneficial qualities that will be
helpful in the workplace. It was easy for me to identify my skills pertaining to problem solving
solutions since Ive resolved some problems while volunteering.
The only restriction I encountered was to include my work experience in the resume.
Alternatively, I included my participation which demonstrated interpersonal skills and me as a
team player.
