A brief overview of the LEA:
This technology plan has been created to help students learn skills, extend their
understanding, analyze and solve problems. It is developed with the help of principals,
computer managers, parents and other members of the school community. Educators
are experts in their fields and provide students with the highest quality of educational
experience. By the end of the year, students will be able to demonstrate high academic
standards in all field subjects and non-native students will learn English and be able to
read/speak fluently. Both the teachers and students will gain much more learning
experience with the help and use of technology. This technology plan has a disciplinary
nature that will help to nurture future professionals and empower true leaders.

Location: It is located in a secure building in California with a library among family

apartment complexes. The school has a soccer field, basketball court, 2 classrooms
equipped with computers, a playground, and a cafeteria. Student can use computers
with Internet connection for their research, compositions, assignments, curriculum
reinforcement. It is quiet and peaceful town including a post office, and other amenities
that are needed. Almost 53% of the school population consists of Asian, remains are
Hispanic, White and Black American.

principals and teachers have been evaluated and the students data in order to see how
the technology plan can help in creating a school achievement for all students.
Computer managers discussed about renewing the new and different products for their
classrooms from the vendor. Parents were invited to several meetings to share their
ideas for the new and improved technology plan.

Summarize the plans major curricular and professional development outcomes

that are supported by research.

Everybodys life is consumed with technology, this includes iPads, smartphones,

laptops, Chromebook, kindle, etc. All these are being able to be used with Internet
connection which gives us access to thousands of information and resources. With the
help of technology we can be a part of the world, by collaborating, sharing ideas,
supporting each other. Each of us is inspired, motivated regardless of our languages,
nationalities, or disabilities

Describe and cite the relevant research that supports the plans outcomes.
Office of Educational Technology. April 26, 2016. Transforming American Education:
Learning Powered by Technology. National Educational Technology Plan 2016. U.S.
Department of Education. Retrieved from

The National Educational Technology Plan represents learning powered by technology

in five spheres: learning, assessment, teaching, infrastructure and productivity. In the
21st century, learning focuses on what and how to teach to the learners according to
their needs and goals.

Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.

The connection between the research and the plans goals is that technology
makes it possible to access more learning resources than the traditional
classroom. The National Education Technology Plan is the center of the
educational technology policy document for the United States. The Plan
explains a vision of active use, leadership, infrastructure, and collaborative
leadership to make everywhere, all-the-time learning possible.
(NETA, 2016).

Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.

The NETA provides not only learning but also gaining skills useful everyday skills such
as critical thinking, complex problem solving, collaboration and multimedia
communication. These skills are neccessary to become expert learners to be able to
change the world for the better. Moreover, NETA explains all the important parts of how
to teacher, understand, lead, and assess the classroom.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

What technology is currently available to all teachers?

Presentation software (such as PowerPoint) helps teacher and educators to show high-
resolution photographs, diagrams, videos and sound files to make the text and verbal
lecture content understandable. Tablets can be linked to computers, projectors and the
cloud so that both students and instructors can communicate through text, drawings and
diagrams.

How will technology be used to create more powerful learning experiences to

improve student academic achievement?

Technology can give both teachers and students great resources to use, new
opportunities for learning and exploring new ideas, ways to create and
collaborate with different ideas, as well as save money. Technology is a powerful
tool for the use of education.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for

professional development?

A first year teacher may need more help than a regular teachers with classroom
management and being able to tell the difference between lessons, but a
seasoned teacher would like more instruction on how to use technology into her
classroom to serve the students better.

What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators

can effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?

At ED Camps, sessions take place and participants are encouraged to attend to learn a
little bit more about the topic that they need to learn more into to make them more
understanding of how the instruction is being taught.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND

ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

What hardware/infrastructure currently exists at each school site?

High-speed Internet access and new devices will create opportunities for new kinds of
digital learning content and resources schools might not currently be using because of
bandwidth limitations. Tasks like audio/video production and videoconferencing require
large amounts of bandwidth, especially if used simultaneously by many students.

What emerging technologies could be used to implement the plans goals?

Technology plan aims to use all the servers and data of all schools, so teachers can
have an access to all services wherever and whenever they want. It would be available to
have control of all the servers of all the schools in one county.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Who will oversee the data collection, analysis, and program modification
process?
The technology committee will be the center of the data collection and provid the means
of meeting the goal that was set from the beginning. The technology committees
representatives are executive director, board president, board member, funding support
specialist, IT director, etc.

How often will the status of plan implementation be reported to the

LEA superintendent and the stakeholders?
Since this technology plan has been designed for a minimum of 3 years, the status of
plan for the implementation will be reported yearly.
