STATEMENT OF PUSPOSE

Our statement of purpose, our group couldnt think of any product because other group

already came up almost all of the products we had in mind. Then one of us Justine Robert

suggested the food called piaya sometimes spelled as piyaya. Flat bread filled with

muscovado sugar a unrefined dark sugar, It originated in Negros Occidental the sugar

capital of the Philippines. Come to think of it some Filipino delicacies are almost forgotten

by these generations because fast foods are on demand and we live in fast phase world. We

come up of adding a new twist in the Piaya, putting jam instead of muscovado sugar as a

filling. Our piaya contains two flavor mango and banana. We have chosen mango and

banana because these fruits are known by everyone.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
CONCEPT HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

Piaya, sometimes spelled piyaya, is a muscovado-filled unleavened flatbread from

the Philippines especially common in Negros Occidental where it originated. It is made by

filling dough with a mixture of muscovado and glucose syrup. Piaya, a round, flat, flaky,

unleavened delicacy with brown sugar inside. The crispy almost flavorless outer crust is

somewhat like hopia but flattened or puffed up, its inside is a sweet muscovado filling that

completes the tast in every bite.

That is the original background of our product, Years pass by the classical native

meryenda has come to an end but our hardworking group made an idea and gather such

information to enhance, develop and to innovate the unsung Piaya of the natives. This idea is

originally made by our group. We would to promote our very own traditional food with a new

twist of flavor. Our very own Fruity Piaya which contain fresh banana and mango jam flavor

fillings. Most of the People nowadays dont appreciate Filipinos Delicacies like Piaya so by this

project we want to retrieve our Piaya to give value to our culture at the same time to earn and

create profit.

A NEW TWIST OF PINOY CLASSICAL DELICACY

Explanation:

We chose the colour of our native fruits like green, yellow and orange to commemorate

the classical effect of our native foods and we add animated Banana and Mango to put a life

and fun of the product. We also put a new twist of Piaya, We developed the classic Piaya

into a Fruity food instead of the ordinary Piaya that is made of muscovado sugar. Our version is

highly nutritious because the fillings of the Piaya is made out of fresh fruits.
VISION

From the beginning it has been our goal to continue the heritage of Classic Piaya. Our

vision moving forward is to not only to put twist but to forge a newly innovated product with our

very own native fruits. With our product our customer and our service we live this value,

Creating delicacies with our heart, quality and freshness to our product and giving traditional

food to reminisce our culture.
