Introduction

The restaurant that I choose to write a review called the ChocoChicken. The restaurant is run
with casual dining style. Through restaurants name, we can know this restaurant are main in
serve chocolate-flavoured fried chicken. This restaurant located in Los Angeles. The founder
of this restaurant named Adam Fleischman. He came out of this idea is because there is a
movies producer which craving for fried chicken with an element of chocolate. He found that
get chocolate into the batter of fried chicken in a way that wasn't totally wrong-headed so he
had decided start up his business. The interior design of restaurant is built in clean sleek modern
decor much like average modern sports bar which is high ceilings, high-top seating and install
with a large, curved bar.

Content
Base on the restaurant I selected, the main attractive point of restaurant is the chocolate is used
in or on almost everything on the menu. The star item which is choco-chicken are comes as
drumettes but no drumsticks, can order thighs or breasts as combo with sides and a-la -carte.
The crust of choco-chicken is coming with dark-brown colour because it marinates with the
chocolate sauce so it different with the normal fried chicken we eat which is golden-brown
colour. After few bitten on the meat, found that the texture is juicier and more tender because
the choco-chicken allows for pockets of fat and isnt exactly dry. For the chocolate part, it not
meets the expectation which seems like disgust with an excess of sweetness and consumed too
much of deep fried chocolate. The taste was too rich and the sweetness was overpowering.
Next, the food item that properly serve in a restaurant is chicken sandwich. They used in choco-
chicken sandwich serve with slaw and spicy peppers. The bun looks like wheat bun but actually
is wheat bun infuse with strong chocolate aroma. It ruins the taste of the sandwich because it
imbued in almost everything with chocolate. The first few bites are still acceptable but after
few bites then the taste was overwhelming. More, the other type of food that review is white
chocolate butter mashed potatoes. When the potatoes are whipped and buttered it is pretty nice
but left with a faint aftertaste of white chocolate in the mouth is the worst thing. This like a
kind of over sweetness taste keep in mouth but mix with saltiness of whipped potato. It is a
weird taste I never make it. It also had a lot of side dishes in the restaurant but most of them
dusted and garnished with cocoa. At the end of the food, it turns everything back to chocolate.
For the drinks in the restaurant, there are a lot of cocktails here with creme de cacao in them.
They have their own signature cocktails which is chocolate martini. This cocktail is quite nice
and unique due to the sweetness of white chocolate are perfectly match with alcoholic. This
restaurant has serve a type of drink called the Angry Cock, it is bourbon based cocktail with
whipped creme on top.

First of all, fried chicken is comfort classic food and welcomed by everyone. We can easily
get fried chicken at anywhere no matter day or night. For chocolate is consider as a type of
snack for me to escape from hunger or dessert after meal. When there come with combination
of chocolate and fried chicken it totally will subvert the tradition taste of this two type of foods.
I never been heard of that there have chocolate flavour fried chicken. Once I used to know is
when cooking curry chicken, put a piece of dark chocolate will enhance the aroma and taste of
curry chicken. This is what I heard of combination of chocolate and chicken. Taste of choco-
chicken is quite impressed me because it tastes like u having an over sweetness taste of fried

chicken and oil fried crispy chocolate. For choco-chicken it really not a good idea of
combination because it will lose the tastiness and original flavour of fried chicken. Fried
chicken is still the best come with original flavour or hot and spicy flavour for me because in
this way we can have the juiciness, tenderness, aroma and texture of a regular tasty fried
chicken. The impression of chocolate gave me was it doesnt match with fried chicken but if
make it as dip sauce maybe will meet the result. We can mix some spices and herbs with the
chocolate sauce to make it more particular and dip the fried chicken with the sauce when eating.
I think combination of chocolate and fried chicken still can be a good idea in the fusion of food
as long as chocolate are indirect mix and cook with fried chicken.

Conclusion

Although I love to consume chocolate and fried chicken, but I am not a fan of the cocoa
powder seasoning on the chicken, maybe if it was a piece of chocolate is better for me. It gave
me a strong weird and disgust feeling because of the combination. This would probably ruin
the regular flavour of fried chicken as I having so far. As I say above, if the chocolate makes it
as dip sauce maybe I will consider it. Nevertheless, some of peoples might like it as much
because of different personality taste but I think most of the peoples like me when it heard with
chocolate flavour fried chicken they will have same feeling as me. Chocolate fried chicken
maybe could be a good idea for restaurant to serve to customers but they must make it better
than it sounds because it sounds weird and disgust for me. Once they make the right way, foods
and restaurant will become a part of Los Angeles and known by everyone.
