The Quality of Learning and Teaching Increasing the Productivity and

Efficiency of a students career

In the US educational system, the most effects of academic failure

experiences on school-going children. Education system has existed for a long time

and as the time goes by there has also been some advancement to make it better but

ends in the destruction of students enthusiasm in study. The reasons of this failure

could be poor teaching at school, inappropriate classroom management, sometimes

parent do not encourage their children, excessive workload and family issues.

Basically, students who are struggling academically, social, behavioral, emotional

problems frequently lead to academic difficulties. However, it is often argued that

school used different types of methodology that impact students to be demotivated

by the structure. Thus, increasing the quality of education system is considered the

most influential factor in prevention of students failure.

The most common teaching method at school in the country is lecturing and

reading textbooks and when it comes to interaction, teachers only ask closed

questions like yes or no to check whether students have memorized the

textbook information. According to Paulo Fereies Banking Concept of Education,

teacher-student relation introduces as depositor and collector where student play a

role as collector by memorizing patiently whatever narrative content given by

teachers. Here are no communications getting students feedback about topic.

(Freire 244) Non-student friendly teachers cause great harm to students by putting

fear in the students mind. Lack of communication with students fails under

examples of poor teaching method. There is one certain method who do not care

about the intellectual feelings of students. They just read reluctantly and leave the

class.

As a result, lack of use of practical has also affected students understanding what

has been taught because they are certain subjects that require the use of practical to

have a better understanding.

However, depending on FEREIES problem posing education makes students

critical thinkers. It can overcome the above contradiction between students and

teachers. Teacher can identify students need and problems. (Freire 252)

It is important for all students to be able to learn in a safe and productive

classroom, but student misbehaviors can be disruptive to that environment. Student

misbehaviors such as disruptive talking, chronic avoidance of work, clowning,

interfering with teaching activities harassing classmates, verbal insults, rudeness to

teacher, defiance, daydreaming in class, not completing homework, talking in

class, lesson disruption, bullying, and rudeness to the teacher, defiance and

hostility. For instant, daydreaming in class, not completing homework, talking in

class lesson disruption, bullying, and rudeness to the teacher are named as

problem behaviors, behavior problems, disruptive behaviors.

These behaviors referred to an activity that causes distress for teachers,

interrupts the learning process and that leads teachers to make continual comments

to the students. Disruptive misbehavior can be mild and not impact student

achievement. School misbehavior not only escalated with time but also lowered

academic achievement. Chatting during lessons affects teaching and learning most.

Whereas other behaviors such as daydreaming only affect self-learning, chatting

will alter whole class atmosphere as well as class progress. Talking out of turn

and verbal aggression were also mentioned by teachers as unacceptable because

these behaviors disrupted the classroom order, which required teachers to spend

time in managing classroom discipline.

Also, parents who work a lot or a are away from home often have children

who misbehave or perform poorly at school. This trend is even more true for

children who are raised in single-parent homes. Since they are now the sole

proprietor of income single parents may not be around to help with homework,

often use wavering forms of discipline and are not seen as a consist parental figure.

In homes where one or both parents remarry to another person or family, children

may have to compete with step-siblings for help or attention, thus negatively

impacting their behavior and achievement at school. Although, students who watch

television more than 2 hours a day do more poorly at school., in his speech, Why

hampers a student too get enough time for self. (Gatto). Lack of a daily routine or

a quiet. Well-lit place to do homework and study may also negatively impact a

students grades and attention.

According to Edison Kang, A Cure for The Deadliest Disease, Parent can

be more involved in their children academic achievement in a variety of ways. Set

high standards and gals for their children. Make sure their children arrive to school

on time and does not skip class. Help with homework and establish a relationship

with children teachers. Talk to the children what they want to be when grown up

and what it takes to get there. Most importantly, provide a loving supportive and

safe environment at home that fosters healthy communication and habits. (Kang) I

believe that practicing homework is good way to learn the material but when every

teacher gives out homework for practice it starts to pile up for the students. First,

US students are getting too much pressured by having homework which leading to

unfavorable impacts mentally and physically. Also, they are being isolated from all

the fun activities with their loved ones. They are stuck in home doing their heavy

school works, missing those moments whats give them mental relaxations. They

start to show signs of depression and deal with stress.

In addition to, students are losing sleep due to having a lot of homework.

Sleep is essential for the human body and brain. With all this homework students

are getting its hard for them to get the full eight hours they need to function. Their

mind is not relaxed which makes hard to go to sleep. Thus, leading students to stay

up late trying to finish the homework to succeed in the course. Furthermore, too

much workload from school enlarge the stress level. Stress is not good for a

student getting some successful results. Supported by Gatto students spend an

average of seven hours a week on homework, thirty hours in school. They do not

get enough private time and private space. They are unable to fill their own hours.

They have lost the tradition of family dining. (Gatto) To sum up, factors such as

parent hindrance and student attitudes as well as the depositing system of teaching

in class, cause some students to fail at school. For students to be successful in their

courses they need to learn how to take ambition and put school as their

priority. Amore thoughtful, up-to-date and motivating system should be developed

for the sake of not only the students but also of our future.

To conclude that Students dont plan to fail in high school or in life. They

unfortunately get derailed along the way by external factors and internal struggles.

Edison king showed this as a disease. He also added that this widespread disease

has to be eliminated with the cooperation of teacher, parents and student have to

change bad habits and attitudes. School should be motivated them to attend the

class everyday, to have their goals and achievements. (Kang)
